Finding a honest handyman for small home and garage projects is nearly impossible now days.

 

I had thought about that. Liability makes me wonder, researching it.

The other strong contender is medical scribe. Work from home, fight with paperwork all day, no fucking people, dovetails with my existent knowledge set.

Most folks look past all that, contractors want big jobs, they turn away 99% of the small jobs that only take a few days. That is why there is need for handyman and if you do run into an issue, give the customer a release of liability on your part.

Before we sold our last house,(tons of flower beds) I couldn't find anyone that would pull weeds in flowerbeds for $20 hour, I had 1 guy quit after a few hours, it's crazy to think how many folks are out there and don't want to work.

 

Nah, I'm pretty sure almost everyone wouldn't work, at least not in traditional format with boss and deadlines, if the alternative weren't worse.

 

I have a 15yr old son who wants to work this summer, he is interested in crypto trading, lol
I'm sure he probably knows more about it than me!

Anyways I'm going to put him to work at our farm this summer, I have some USDA grant work to be completed by August and 2nd phase by October.

 

What state are you in? That's states licensing board will have guidelines for what a "handyman" can and can't do. In CA, any work over $500 a job parts and labor you need a license. Those are easy to obtain and the liability insurance for $1M is less then $3K a year.

Keep in mind you still have to interact with the customers. lol

Yeah I'm not sure what's going to happen with the wildlife this year, less work is being done around where I have game feeders now, but this drought is a BIG concern, I filled mineral tubs up with water for the wildlife, deer started drinking from them within 3 days. The bees are crazy they can't find enough water, they will empty buckets within 4 days.

I have plenty of hogs and ugly small bucks, I only plan on taking 2 nice bucks off each year, got to ger rid of all these trash bucks and get the genes out.

we have drivers that drive 1/2 way to NJ from MA, meet in a parking lot, swap vans and turn around and go back where they came from...DONE...full days work. Set the cruise control, listen to your podcast...No pressure from traffic because you get there when you get there. Nobody is screaming "WHERE ARE YOU!"
