I took off my tcase actuator so I can change it to a manual shift tcase using a shift cable and kit from advance adapters.

I'm going to have to do this soon, @DG92071 offered to help me knock it out . I have a rear main seal and front seal (timing chain cover) leak. I'm not too worried about the rear seal, it's been like that for years with no issues. Did you have to pull the engine to get to the cover?

Can you provide some information about your tray. What brand, where you got it, and cost? Are you happy with it?
    Thank you

I wouldn't disagree with you lol I was able to get a lot of $ back from selling my canopy, SOS HC rear swing-out and other stuff. I was in all that for maybe $500 and sold it all for just over $5k. Been able to wheel and deal a lot of stuff for the truck over the years.

Any chance you could post some pictures of the drawer? As far as your comment regarding air bags instead of stage 3s, I kinda wish I had gone that route. My stage 3s are great, but my weight fluctuates quite a bit between around town and long trips and wish I had the ability to customize my capacity more to accommodate these fluctuations. I always have more weight than most, but it still varies quite a bit. That said the progressive design of the Deavers is some much nicer of a ride than my old Dakar HDs with AAL.

Yeah I can get some pictures later and post them here. And that is the exact reason I plan on going to bags, because the stage II's work great for just daily driving with the tray only and the occasional dresser, couch, dump run etc. But if and when I decide to pull the plug on a full canopy, I can adjust on the fly based on the load. I had OME HD Dakars and they were rough lookin lol ~~ So far I am happy with the Deavers.

For sure, and while it was on the boat headed over a just made incremental payments on it and had it paid for before it even showed up. Worked out nicely.

I'm doing this on the 2TR-FE.
You don't have to remove the engine, removing the fan and shroud will give you enough room.
I haven't taken the cover off yet, have a few more layers of onion to remove.
This is where I'm at now

Polished the headlights and resealed them. Added a 2011 OEM Honeycomb grill. Got new front suspension parts waiting for install, added a camper shell. Was going to sell this after buying my FJ Cruiser, but couldn’t do it. So now it’s getting a refresh. Camper shell needs to be color matched.

I am in a similar situation thinking about selling mine. I have had 6 total pre-gen, 2nd and 3rd gens over the last 20 years. I bought my last 2nd gen Off Road August 2021 with 83k miles and now it only has 84.5k miles. Super low for a 2008 and, if I keep it, it will outlive me. It just needs the hood and roof painted to fix the lost clear and thin base paint. The rest still looks good. Just not sure I want to spend the money on it but those areas really need immediate attention. If I wasn't retired on a fixed income it would already have a complete new paint job. Have considered just bedlining the roof between the rails (outside rails paint is fine) and only painting the hood. I look every day for a used hood with good paint but speedway blue is very hard to find used. Have even considered buying a black hood and bedlining the roof. Not sure how that would look. It sits a lot because my newer suv has all the modern tech features that my 2nd gen doesn't have. The updated tech features are the only thing I miss about my 3rd gen. It is a very very tough decision.

Do you recall exactly what you used and how you prepped the panel. Does this trap a lot of dirt and debris and is it easy to clean.

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Well that’s way less intrusive than most of them I’ve seen, ordered one to give it a shot.
