Sounds like a great setup. How complicated were the sequential turns? I’d prob pay a buddy to install them (not mechanically inclined myself). I’m in Arizona (first 30 years of life in FL) so I hear you on the windshield tint! What seat covers did you go with? Been looking at lots of options.

Yes, ceramic tint is on the agenda. How dark did you go on the windshield? And good call on the deflectors. It’s so hot here, leaving the windows cracked makes a huge difference. What brand did you go with? I’ve been looking at AVS and Weathertech.

What kind of protection are you going to put in both of those locations? I’ve been thinking a lot about how best to protect the new truck from all the dings that my previous vehicle got.

Awesome, appreciate all the info, super helpful! Seems challenging (for me lol) but not impossible. And I just checked out your profile pic to check out the topper - looks great.

My truck is white, so it doesn't get super hot. My windows have regular tint (not ceramic) 15% all around. Not legal, but never had any issues. My wife has the ceramic tint as her truck is black, hers is legal with 15% in the rear, and whatever the darkest legal limit is here in TX in front; 30% I believe. It could be in my head, but I feel like her truck stays cooler than mine now that she's got the ceramic tint on it. I only did the sunstrip on my windshield (15% also), not sure about your area, but you may be able to do the whole windshield; need a doctor's note to do it here I believe.

I've always used WeatherTech in/on all my vehicles (mats and window deflectors); never really used anything else, so can't speak on any other brands. I can say that I have NEVER been disappointed by them. They're a little pricey, but well worth it IMO. I installed my mats and deflectors back in 2014 and they're still in fine shape. The WeatherTech logos fell off of the mats a couple years back, but that's about it; no biggie.

The turns are really simple. Pop off the mirror cap, 2 screws, one plug. Probably took 10 minutes to do both. I with Lucky Man Club seat covers. Faux leather. I wanted something I could just remove and replace if they got jacked up. For $250.00 it was worth the gamble and I like them. Time will tell how they hold up.

I get the appeal of a giant trunk, for sure. What topper did you get?

Sounds like you’ve got a nice setup going. What are the bug screens? Love the sound insulation - did that on my Forester and it made a huge difference! How do you like the bed stiffeners?

Good call, hadn’t thought about phone/CarPlay logistics. What mount did you go with? Or did you convert to wireless?

@Rock Lobster Perfect response but missing one thing; fixed it for you.

Drive it. Enjoy it. Let the truck tell you what it needs.

Thanks for the organizers idea - cheap and really useful is always a good combo. Any particular ones you chose or just whatever off Amazon?

What topper did you go with? And what awning? I’m also in AZ, love the option to have built-in shade wherever we go.

Definitely gonna enjoy all the stock tires, suspension, etc! Just thinking about practical things to have on/in the truck and ways to project it and ensure its longevity/value. What’s the ceramic coating process like? I’ve never done it or had it done before - trying to figure out if I can do it myself (admittedly a total novice about anything auto) or if I should just go let a professional do it.

That does seem really useful. Are there OEM ones available? Or did you get them elsewhere?

Would Fluidfilm attract too much dust here in the desert? Seems like it would, but I’m a total novice about this.

Good list. Bed mat comes with truck. I’m in the desert, so don’t need rust protection. I’ve never had ceramic coating done and it’s on my list of things to do first - trying to figure out where to go to get it done.
Researching seat cover options. What did you go with? It’s so hot here, I’m skeptical of neoprene or anything leather-like. But def want to protect the seats and not have to worry about them.
