Man, you’re all geared up. What skids did you get?

And what hood deflector? Seems like some folks don’t find the hood deflector very helpful but I’ve had one on my Forester for years. Debating putting one on the new truck but figure why not.

You’re the second person to mention the Meso mirror turn signals. They look awesome. I’m all about the added safety too.

First? Go to the grocery store, get a shopping cart, take the cart about 50 feet away, now launch the cart at your own truck. Hard enough to cause a small dent and some scratches. This way, it's done and over with, and you did it yourself. No one hunt down and murder now.

Good to know about the turns, thanks. Your plan for seat covers makes total sense. I see you’re in FL - do the seat covers get hot? I grew up in FL and live in AZ, and hot seats are something I want to avoid.

How are you deciding between PPF and ceramic coating?

Haven't noticed them being hot but the ceramic tint really helps with that.

Good ideas, thanks. Are you talking about the OEM remote lock for the tailgate? Not planning to do any serious challenging off-roading but life does take me down some fairly washed out, rocky, dirt roads. Thinking the stock OR will handle those just fine, but I’ll look into the catalytic converters cover. Assume the pre-installed skid plate will be sufficient for my needs?

Not with the current state of inflation. That's terrible advice. You've already locked in the price of the vehicle.

Be better off spending that cash on consumables and higher price items you wouldn't finance.

I highly recommend this. Best sunshade ever. Easy to store too. There’s too many knockoff on eBay with very poor quality . https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tacoma-sun-shade-toyota-trucks-logo-or-plain-silver.396790/ . Pm @Level7Taco if you’re interested. You won’t regret it .

I get that. I was hoping you knew more about it and I could pick your brain. I bet there’s a thread here on TW…

You’re welcome, it also has a flip down front slider for ease of cleaning. It is a little fussy, if I were to do it again, would get the flip up version with gas struts.

Hmm I can't seem to find the link, but just have a look on Amazon, as long as they are for your current year/model they should do fine. As for a topper, I went with Bulldog as they were available and im really happy with it, it came with a Thule roof rack installed, and i mounted https://www.thule.com/en-ca/van-accessories/awnings/thule-overcast-65-ft-_-901086 this awning on it, it works so so well!
