Had some left over plasti dip and was bored, so why not dip the wheels?? Came out great as long as you prep properly. We’ll see how long it lasts. Gonna run this look until I move to the lower 48 in a few months, then look to buy a proper set of wheels and lift. Truck needs a good cleaning next lol

Removing the metal bracket from the relay is so much fun

after almost 2 years of procrastination I finally finished my crappy relay situation. Bought a relay holder.

    no fires this time

I should mention that I bought that relay holder back in October 2020 and it’s just now going onto the truck June 1 2022

well that’s neat, you just clip like up to 4 on there? Does this work in lieu of a switch pod or conjunction?

Yes! I was going to buy a switch pod but I decided not to since I'm only running 2 aftermarket accessories off the battery. I couldn't find the exact relay holder since the link no longer exists, but I did find one that holds 3 relays

I'm leaning towards the Auxbeam AR-800 myself. https://auxbeam.com/products/ar-800-multifunction-rgb-switch-panel-system-qp008526
The Switchpro 9100 is awesome, but a bit pricy.

Each relay is connected to the battery. You might be able to see two red wires going to the positive on the battery and the two black wires going to the battery ground on the chassis above the battery. The relays are grounded to that bracket which is mounted on the chassis.

Actually, yesterday, but I replaced the stock battery that finally gave up the ghost. I am thoroughly amazed it lasted this long, but luckily I was expecting it and had a replacement ready to go. It didn't really give any warning. I ran errands with it one day, parked it overnight and it struggled to start in the morning. Drove it around all day with no issuse re-starting after sitting for short periods. The following morning it cranked and cut out.

Thankfully a quick fix, and we will see how the Costco Interstate battery does. It certainly can't be any worse than the stock unit.

That’s good! I got my own rats nest under the hood but keep putting off shortening wires or hooking up the aux beam I bought. Maybe when my buddy gets back from overseas in the fall and can help.

you have inspired me to put the relay holder on. Was taking the metal bracket off the relays bad? I’ve managed one with a small screw driver but almost stabbed my hand

It was pretty hard. Get yourself a set of pliers and bend the metal piece (the side with the mount hole) and pry it up. Doing so should bend the metal and plastic to where you can start wedging a knife between the relay and metal.

I forgot to mention that the metal piece that sticks up to keep it from moving (circled in photo below) does not bend like a typical plastic clip would.
