Hey everyone - excited to be getting my first Taco over the next days/weeks, whenever it gets delivered... anyways, I tried searching the forum to see if catalytic converter theft was as prevalent of an issue in MD as in other areas of the country, and there didn't seem to be much discussion. The wish list is long for mods, but getting some sort of protection there was at the top of my list if it was recommended in this area - I live near OEC if that is any help.

Just really wanted to gather some input from you fine people as to whether or not you think this is something necessary around here. Excited to finally be apart of the community after years of dreaming.

Well, after avoiding it for over 2 years my wife and I finally got the 'rona. Travelled to the midwest for a wedding over the weekend and likely got it there. All things considered, if we had to get it, this is perfect timing and can still put in some hours each day remotely. Yesterday woke up feeling like I got hit by a bus, and this morning it was a train. Symptoms are relatively mild....cough, sore throat, fatigue, muscle aches. Doctor recommended just riding it out for a week and re-evaluate.

Welcome to TW. Some places and times are better or worse than others. I think last summer or the one before that was bad in Harford county. So much that the local PD put a post up about it.
I spray painted mine fluorescent orange, to at least get crooks thinking if they want to deal with it. I think scrap yards won’t take them but I’m not 100% sure.
You could get the @RCI-Offroad skid kit and add their cat covers.
    Is OEC Old Ellicott City?

Hi Davey! Welcome to the forum and the best damn thread on it :hattip:

What kind of Taco did you get? Where is OEC? Mods are fun, expensive (but not always), and if you can plan them with help from some local people, even better.

Weld some chains, like 7 or 8, each about 2' - 3' long all over the cats. No one will steal them.

I had the same thing happen to me, I got a positive test on May 9. It took about 5 day for the bulk of the crud to get through my system, I've been dealing with some long term Covid symptoms that are finally starting to clear up. Hang in there and stay hydrated with electrolytes (I used pedialyte powder mix myself) and LOTS of sleep. Best wishes for a fast recovery.

Polish vodka is made with potatoes and tequila is made from plants. That's basically health food!

Well, not in VB persay, but with people partying on the weekends. More like Norfolk. But also Little Creek, however, long ago. There was a old wooden roller coaster in an old amusement park I remember being decommissioned back then. This was the early years of really big ears. :D
