this is my exact truck in 6mt. Nice to see another set of chrome rear bumpers (i'm not a fan of the tech features that dictate color matched rear bumper)

When I decided to get another Tacoma (2022), I looked at dealers in SLC. Placed a deposit on one on a Tuesday and was called back Friday it arrives off the truck. Picked it up Saturday. No doubt I snagged on that someone else backed ot of or fell thru the cracks. Every Tacoma before and after that were "reserved".

Haha that’s awesome! Yeah I’m out now actually. Got out as a Sergeant in 2016 and called it one!

Welp. I was browsing for fun at the end of work and the dealer 1 mile from my house had a taco in-stock with everything I wanted and in the color. Pulled the trigger and pick it up tomorrow! MSRP and didn’t even have to ask. Financing 1.75%. Let me even test drive it alone to my house.

The downside is I have $1000 “non-refundable” on a different dealer that never provided an update (thanks rod for the help). Every other dealer in PA is telling me it’s illegal for them to keep my deposit. We’ll se how that conversation goes in getting my money back. They also wanted $1000 over MSRP.

How are you adding these new vehicles to your Toyota app to track them? What if you decide not to buy them after adding them? Can you not get in trouble for doing this. Just curious.

Is Toyota likely to build model year 2022 through July or August?

I added it on the Toyota app and checked the location. I then immediately deleted it, because I didn’t know if I was supposed to track it that way. Can I get in trouble with Toyota for that? I have put down a deposit, and I still am actually undecided on taking the truck.

Nice! Congrats! Yeah I’ve never heard of a non-refundable deposit. I would imagine you could get your money back. Maybe threaten them with legal action? And what trim level and color are you getting??

I would say July for sure. August is cutting it close. I looked it up and Toyota starts building the next model year early fall. So just to be safe, I wouldn’t wait past July.

Yeah I don’t think it’ll take much, just have a feeling it’ll be a hassle.
