Many Enduros I know of don't allow e-bikes anyway or at least have a separate class, so thats another reason to get an evo

It's hard to get the feeling of a kid the day before Christmas as I get older, but getting the Fedex text message saying there is a delivery tomorrow that requires signature is about as close as I can get.

Have a TW group ride set up for late June at Kingdom Trails in VT and assumed the new bike wouldn't be in before then - with the backlog at Fezzari, they sent it out 80% assembled and left it up to me to tune the derailleur and install the dropper post. Not to mention I enjoy doing assembly stuff on the bike so it is a bit of a win-win all around.

I think ebikes are more popular on the east coast, theres a few enduros that have ebike classes. That being said while it takes climbing out of the equation, I think I prefer descending on a normal bike.

Edit: Also if any SE TW bros want to do a fun race heres the remaining schedule.

I want to go to sugar mtn, but that 7hr drive would suck balls. VA is out of the question for me.

All other venues are within 5 hours.

What's next event you'll be driving up for?

A quick look at the Summit County Recorders page tells all. It is a piecemeal of public and private land on both sides of the Bad Apple bridge. I couldn't find any easements, but the Utah Water Rights page shows lots of wells and water right exchanges along that stream. Also, for what it's worth, I have never seen a "No Trespassing" or "No Fishing" sign anywhere in there. The guy I talked to was obviously full of it on the ownership.

Check out here: https://www.summitcounty.org/1013/Property-Page and click on "Parcel Map - Interactive GIS Map of Parcel Records"

Baker is very fun. I’d like to make it back out there myself. All of these places are a long drive for you. Do you go to these places just for the weekend

I’ll be at the Monte Sano race. My goal is to not survive but to actually race.

Sooo, why not just get an Enduro? I mean, right horse right race.
Or leave the “S” train and get a Spire (yes, I know it starts with an S) and just have a blast.

My Codes pissed me off, so I went ahead and tried something new.
Magura are one of the last brand of brakes I haven’t had much time on. These are supposed to be their best, so let’s see.
Looks for two sets of Code RSCs to go on sale soon. Let me know by PM if you might be interested.

    ooooh got them HC3 M7. :D

I’ve thought about putting XT or XTR levers on my MT5 calipers.

I am going to try some 2.3mm rotors 200mm front and 220mm rear and then adjust the levers closer to the bars, they’ll hit instantly, but be in a more controlled finger position…. I hope, gotta try it first.:anonymous:

@dwphoto very last minute change of plans, but I’ll be heading over to Sapwi Bike Park right now from Camarillo. Feel free to join me, if you’re free. Was gonna ride at Reseda Point with my friends, but we had to postpone for tomorrow for one reason or another.

    Was this your truck?

After a cross countryside flight, 2 hours of sleep, 11 hours of work, I was running on fumes. But I can't resist Skyline. Even if I was pinballing off all the rocks like a piñata on SPDs.

+1 on the Spire. Was a bit apprehensive because of its numbers on paper, but so happy I pulled the trigger! That bike rides way more playful than the numbers suggest. Climbs well for what it is and just rips the downs. Best bike purchase I’ve made and I’ve owned a lot of bikes. Also, couldn’t be happier supporting a rider owned company. Same reason I’m a big Deity fan.

Edit: all good minus the dropper :D

    not enough.
i've heard good things about the maguras and my initial feel of one set on a friend's bike is very positive. I still like my codes so I'll keep riding them until I don't. hah!

Not for every but the shimano saints are a solid brake. More a DH brakes but are perfect for Ebikes. Probably be a good option for heavier riders or heavy bikes

got saint on my niner WFO E9 and they are great.

 Holy Jeebus you run your controls inboard. That would drive me nuts. The inside of my brake clamps are 20mm away from my grips, shifter paddle edge past the inside edge of my grip. Can’t stand hitting that paddle with my thumb.
That’s how I felt too. No issue with codes, especially with Trickstuff pads and rotors. I mainly went with them due to parts availability. To date, best brakes I’ve used by a long shot were the Dominions. Going to put them on the Decoy since it’s so heavy and I don’t travel with it.
But the codes pissed me off this week. The bite point wheel froze and bleeding was a freakin mess. I wanted to throw them in a fire. :bananadead:

I tend to have my hands almost on the edge of the grips (probably why i like 760 bars) so it dont ever hit it.
