Alignment numbers are good but it’s hard to get the tire off the cab when you have no adjustment at the UCA. Switch to a SPC UCA and max out the LCA forward, maybe try one of those new LCA that move the LBJ forward or just go all in on JD LCA subframe. Those would be your 3 options. My cab mount is cut about the same as yours and I have tons of room. I’m also not running an aggressive offset wheel so that could be it as well. Looks great though!

Thanks for the info. 17x8.5 -10mm 6x139.7 on 1.25 spidertrax spacers. The spacers allow for clearing the secondary shock mount on the lowers. Looks like a cab mount relocation might be in the cards for me?

I’m stubborn and stupid. Haven’t tried anything yet, but this may beat me into submission.

What non long travel LCA options are there to move the LBJ forward on the 3rd gen? I have SPC uppers and my BAMF hybrid bumper should be delivered at the end of the month. I am planning on a regear next year to make the jump to 35s or 37s if it can be done with CMC, pinch weld, and plastic trimming, but without tubbing the firewall. I read that BTF is coming out with a LCA that will push the LBJ 0.75”-1” forward but it has not been released yet.

You answered your own question. BTF LCAs. I saw a post somewhere about them but don’t know any details.

Did you hammer the inner fenders or just letting them smash?

Hammered plus body lift of 1 inch. Didn't take too much to clear the inners with the body lift.

The skinnies work best with 0mm or +4mm wheels (like TRD SEMA) for max clearance. With your setup, the tire swings on a 1.75" wider arc. So cab mount relocation and maybe a body lift.

Mine cmc is fine with -43 offset/9 wide wheels, firewalls the limiting factor. Doesnt look like your cmc is as far back as it could be.

Yeah, a 35" tire is a 35" tire. I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up before (or I didn't see it when it was). The skinny tire appears to be easier to clear in areas but still going to stuff into the wheel well unless you limit bump travel.

Yep! Normal wheeling they clear/can never stuff hard enough, but jumping with frame flex/body flex eats the tire up. Uca is also trying to punch through the fenderwell at max shock compression.

Just under 4* of caster is pretty solid. Not sure an alignment is your issue at this point.

This ^. IDK if I'd switch UCAs from the TC but those are all potential solutions. The JD kit is most ideal but he'll have clearance issue on the front of the wheel well the more the tire moves forward. The solution to that is the JD inner fender kit. The worm hole of fitting 35s gets DEEP.

If you're having rubbing issues on the cab mount bad enough to relocate then you'll for sure have firewall issues. Not worth it IMO if you're not willing to tub.

Well almost time to call it a day for my Kendas! 49k miles on them and they are still inching by. Never have had an alignment, have knocked my junk out of alignment almost every trip and they still lasted this long.
Couple chunks along the bead down to the cords (run them around 8-10psi so I bottom the wheel out pretty regularly), tread block cracks, and almost have wore the labels off on the sidewall. Zero complaints, they have been a phenomenal tire. Live in the Pnw so they see constant rain driving, snow wheeling, etc. 1st drive on them was Moab, and just did the Rubicon the other day as the last big trip for them. Going to run them again (only have to buy 3 as I have a brand new spare still) and then after those wear, do the 37s in either the RT or their new MT.

You have sold me on them. I put 4 in my Amazon cart for next payday. I can’t hold out for MTR’s anymore. I got a nice slice in my sidewall last weekend and put my shitty spare on. It didn’t get through but it was pretty deep and didn’t want to drive 200 miles home over the pass on it.

This review sells me as well. I was trying to decide between these and the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT in 255/85R17 (35x10.0R17) plan is to regear to 5.29s with ECGS next year and go to 35s, unless the BTF FAB stock length LCAs that move the lower ball joint 0.75" forward allow for easier fitment of 37's.

Yup! Fronts are a little more worn right on the insides now since I wear out tie rods pretty fast, but still reasonable tread in the rear
