    Aloha!
I have a 2014 2.7 2wd Automatic AC base model. With rear camera harness up to the tailgate handle/no camera,
Power door locks no keyless entry. I looked behind my glovebox to see if I had a door lock control module, nope.
Just assumed the white pigtail connector that was there, was for the DLCM , assumed wrong. So when the used OEM DLCM came in the mail today, it didn’t plug in. That pigtail ended up plugging into a little black box that was connected to the plastic piece I had to remove after the glove box, not really sure what it does. Does anyone know if I were to swap out my main harness behind the dash will do the job, or do I need to swap out my door harnesses and actuators too , if I already have have power locks.

I read up on a TW thread that was written a few years back we’re a guy did the whole Shabang, $500, weeks of labor and months of looking for the right parts , he did it. But that’s money and really time I just don’t have. I’m pretty sure he didn’t have power locks. But if it’s just the main harness, I’m pretty sure I can pull it off in a weekend, plus that will be the only part I would need, now that I have the DLCM and key fob.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    Mahalo!

You sure it's not there? Sometimes unused connectors are taped up in the harness.

If it's not it looks like you would just need to add 4 wires since you have power locks already, replacing an entire harness to add 4 wires seems just crazy.

@Dm93 yes I’ve looked high and low in there , I’ve even read a thread we’re if you do the key fob program, the doors would lock and the end of the program steps, if the doors did lock by them selves, Supposedly you have the DLCM installed.
Yes very crazy! But a reply like yours is what I was hoping to see! Thank you! so I would just need to run wires from the DLCM to somewhere to get it to read? I’m at work right now, finishing up on my break, just noticed you attached a diagram, I will check this out!
I really appreciate it. Any tips on how to run the wires?

I couldn't tell you for sure it will work, I've never seen where anybody added the wiring.
Adding features to lower trim vehicles can be hit or miss on whether supporting hardware, wiring, and logic/programming are there or not, Toyota seems to tend to include alot of wiring for uplevel features on lower trim trucks but it's not always the case.

I'm just going by the diagram, it looks like the Door Control Receiver needs a power, a ground, and then the other 2 wires go to the Body ECU.
I gotta do some digging when I have time to see if I can find which connector on the Body ECU those 2 pins go in.

Thank you @Dm93! That would be awesome, in the meantime I will do my research on getting a wiring diagram on my year , even a 2013 diagram production date for my truck 4/14) to see if there has been a chance the pigtail got wrapped up in the loom, I just need to know what color wires I’m looking for. I will keep you posted if I come up with anything, I’ll even go under my hood to see if I have a connector or wiring for the beep, I read in that detailed thread about going from manual locks to keyless OEM, that there also is a beep mechanism, under the hood. you info is greatly appreciated.

Check this out @Dm93! From the looks on all the Pics I’ve seen on TW this looks like the wiring for the beep/cherp mechanism part#89747, it would be awesome if the pigtail for the DLCM would be in the dash! image.jpgimage.jpg

It's the same as 13, I was just using 13 because Mitchell doesn't have any OE diagrams or connector information for 14 and 15 models.
    Here's the 14 diagram.

The wire colors for the Door Control Receiver are Red, White/Black, Blue, and Yellow, it will be a 5 pin connector with no pin in slot #4

The beeper is located on the radiator support in front of the battery.

Nice definitely looks like it, beeper wire colors are Red and Black/White.

@Dm93 wow that wiring diagram is awesome! Yup beep is red, white/black this is what I am looking at behind the glovebox, the white pigtail connects to 86516-28030 some kind of radio setting condenser. When I took out the glovebox for the first time, that pigtail was floating there , giving me the impression that this was the pigtail I was looking for! I see something here but I can't really tell if its anything or not, if I get time tomorrow I'll look how the harness is routed on mine.

Hey @Dm93 i just noticed that the color schematics you gave me for the DLCM are in the same loom as the radio setting condenser
Except for the white/black, probably why most pics I’ve seen the pigtail is branching off of this loomB14924D8-5310-4924-958B-990822111E25.jpg

I seen that guy earlier, I’m thinking it’s a larger connector, that harnesses more then
5-6 wiresimage.jpgimage.jpg sorry if they are crappy pics, I’m solo , literally had to fold to a pretzel to take this pic lol
I was able to open up tape to get a better pic of the tapped connector 60541741-3187-4ADC-AEE9-9F14261D2128.jpg shucks, not what I was looking for…

Thanks! That would be awesome, I’m trying to be as detailed as possible for future referencing , I’m sorry if I’m blowing you up just let me know if you need anymore pics. I’m just going to keep the glovebox off for now.
TW has been sick a great place for reference. With my past 5 Toyota pickups. This is my first gen2, just sold my gen1 96, for this Tacoma. Have been stoked so far, got my reverse camera on the way, this truck has a few blind spots when reversing, and keyless entry we are working on now. These two items will keep me satisfied till I upgrade the sounds. I really appreciate your help @Dm93

759DDC7B-026A-4361-A44E-A983B84124DD.jpg @Dm93 after getting a better look at the pic you sent earlier, looks like the pigtail should be attached to this loom of wires.
I even took the radio out to get a better look inside the dash, and still no luck

Just looked at mine, it appears that plug should come out of the harness so it would seem yours is indeed not there. 16542134845587170002233043150210.jpg 16542135182855352722603970956450.jpg

@Dm93 that is an awesome shot of the wire format for the plug, yup I went to the weee hours of the night last night, hoping, it go wrapped up in the loom before or after it’s designated exit spot, but I couldn’t find anything. So if it doesn’t pop up, I’ll have to try and tap in somewhere, hoping the cpu is programmed for the part. From the looks of the red and white/black wire, they are tied in somehow with the beep/chirp wires . I’m not that good at mapping wire diagrams but I’ll try my best to see if those wires Coincide with each other. Thanks for your help @Dm93, what would be your next step in this situation?

The beeper is controlled by the Body ECU, should be no need to mess with that other than install one.

I'm still trying to track down which connector we're looking for on the Body ECU, the connector numbers don't match the number on the diagram. Once you find that it should just be a matter of adding the 2 pins & wires if they aren't there and getting a pigtail for the Door Control Reciever.

@TnShooter do you know how to decipher the Body ECU connectors?
