For anyone looking to do this it isn't (apparently) as easy as it was on 2021 and earlier TRD Pro. Searching the forum will lead one to find that this size tire on the OEM TRD Pro wheels will fit relatively well with little to no mods.

The changes on the 2022+ Pro changes this. A few of us have put 285s on 2022 Pros and found that using the factory wheels will require a spacer to clear the new design UCA. I, and others, have used the 3/4" spacer from Bora to do this, it's possible their 1/2" spacer might be enough but not sure that anyone has tried this and it may require longer studs. A 3/4" spacer puts the OEM wheel at around -6mm offset.

The other problem is I had to do a lot more trimming than I thought I would have to. There is a HARD rub on the front driver side wheel well turning right. I had no choice but to cut out a good chunk to fix this. The passenger side is only a small rub and I was able to heat and reshape and a small trim to clear this. Both left and right sides rub on the rear of the wheel well. I was able to mostly fix this by minor trimming and reshaping with the heat gun. I still have a slight rub in reverse at full lock. I may try and massage things a bit more. I'm going to run it awhile and see how it goes first.

One good thing... cab mount chop does not appear to be necessary.

I still have some rubbing issues but not as severe. I'm going to need to do some additional trimming on the back of the drivers fender well plastic (outer edge). Passenger side doesn't seem to rub on the back side, but both sides still rub on the front edge. I have the SSO Hybrid Front bumper and I've made the call to add their stage 2 kit so rubbing on the front edge will be a thing of the past.

Also, my Westcott lift just came in this past weekend but I haven't installed it yet. The extra bump from that may also be enough to kill the lingering rubbing issues.

All in all, it looks bad ass and I'd definitely do it again.

That looks great man! I think that Wescott might be your ticket to less/no rub. Thank you for the update:101010:

    Looks amazing man!

Cooper STT pros are one of the biggest 33s there are. Ko2s for example run about 3/8-1/2” smaller.

Ive got 255/80/17 (33”x10”) and no rubbing whatsoever:D I’m even still rocking stock mudflaps. Although 255s don’t look as cool as 285s of course.

Lift doesn’t help with rubbing unless you drive your truck on the streets only. Lift only changes the starting point from where the tire articulates.

Good tire choice, but that tire is also why you have a ton of rubbing. However, those tires add 3 hp and +5 panty dropper points.
