Oh man that's one of my worst fears. Can't imagine but good every one got out safe. We have insurance to take care of the damages and replace things. Things are replaceable.

@PCTaco yea definitely does suck I remember when I was working for that last company and I was loading up my van at the warehouse that was across the street from my sister's house. N seeing smoke blowing through the roof I tswore it was my sister's house from my point of view. Ended up being her next door neighbors house. Which happened to be a duplex both units were destroyed thankfully no one was home. Although the two puppies didn't make it. Terrible seeing people's houses catch fire like that.

I saw that on the morning news yesterday - thankfully everyone got out safely!!

I got 1/2 of our grass cut yesterday before the thunderstorms caught up with me. Hopefully, I can get it finished and picked up today.

ANd, new garage doors and openers are being installed today.

Good morning Pennsylvania. I've decided to put a application in with amtrack to be a trackman. My brother got a job with them about 3 months ago as a lineman. He told me I probably won't get a call for bout 2 months. But they have the full benefit package. And starting pay is 29$ hr then get bumped to 32 after training. Gonna keep my fingers crossed

Now those are a pretty penny! My 9' wide insulated with glass was a touch over $1800, and took over 3 months to arrive. Opener was around $450 and I had to install it myself. o_O

3 doors with new openers, new tracks, etc, installed is just under $9k - and took 4 months to arrive. And those are the less expensive doors. High end would have been over $15k. Prices have skyrocketed over the past year.

Yea I went with a basic but well built Haas door. It is 2" thick insulated, so it feels pretty sturdy. I had a space constraint so was nervous about getting a door in there, but the garage door company I chose was very good at laying out options. They had one made 6' 9" tall. My biggest problem was the opener. I had almost no headroom left for a conventional overhead opener...

So, I had to spend the extra money and get a side mount opener. However, I like this setup better. Had to install an outlet in the ceiling near it, but at the time I was wiring up the whole garage, so no extra effort really...

I looked at the side openers and decided to go with traditionals. I've got high a high ceiling but just didn't want to spend the extra on the openers.

Good morning PA! PECO is running natural gas line to the house today. Pretty intense job.

At least I have an excuse not to mow today.
