Great Danes are very protective of their family , they're very effective guard dogs . He's a very big lovable puppy dog that loves attention and will lay on your lap


It's funny how he is around our immediate family being a lovable dog . But whoever knocks on the door or rings the doorbell he turns into protection mode . He uses all his weight and slams into the front door . The UPS , FedEx or Amazon delivery drivers are very scared of the dog

It seems that I'm in good company...

I didn't blow up too many things, M80's were hard to come by. Me and my little ban of hooligans would terrorize the adjacent neighborhoods on Halloween night in the form of smashing pumpkins with night clubs. ( and maybe a few times the hard-to-get M80 would make one "go-away").
We all had news paper routes so we could always see the best targets. rotten little bastards, we were !

Good morning everyone! Waiting for some rain to pass through by noon so I can go home for lunch, ditch the Taco, and ride the bike back. Have to visit a couple of vendors about 45 miles away this afternoon and figured it would be a nice day for a ride. With gas the way it is now I'm going to have to start riding the motorcycle more often. In reality, the mileage isn't that much better with a v-twin VTX1800N. It started with 110hp/120torq when I bought it new 12 years ago. I may have made a few changes since then.

Our garbage truck crews come down our street at 0530 - 0630 every week. And there are always (at least) 2 trucks - one for "trash", the other for recycling materials. They usually show up anywhere from 5 - 30 minutes apart.

 

This reminds me of a great Dilbert strip from like 20+ years ago.

Dilbert, Wally and PHB (Pointy Haired Boss) were talking about some new project or whatever, and Dilbert suggests they schedule a meeting to discuss the project specs, etc..
Wally says something like "Wait, you can't go into such an important meeting un prepared. We need a pre-meeting meeting to plan for the meeting."
PHB says they should have a pre-pre-meeting meeting to plan for the pre-meeting......... lather, rinse, repeat, and pretty soon you have 37 meetings just to discuss one thing.
