How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

I'm a week 13 still in QC status. Checked with my dealer yesterday and he said still no update.

 

Yep week 14, it's been at Logistics Park in Chicago for 10 days.

 

My dealer is telling me my Tacoma is in Chicago, after rail transport. It has been there for two weeks and they are still giving me the temp VIN. Any advice, or actions I can take to see where it really is?

Mine is already built, has been since March. Apparently it was first on QC hold and now it's a parts issue.

 

See i heard the chip shortage is causing the ones who want the advanced tech package is one reason why i've been waiting since Nov21. Shortage of leather now?? jesus.... i mean at this point what's even hoping for a 2023

 

I still don't think the shortages are stopping any time soon...

 

My dealer honored the Toyota's VSPP pricing on a Taco past December. The truck in my sig. Feel very fortunate to have gotten the Advance Tech and Windchill Pearl. I really did NOT want the premium package. GA sun kills the exposed rubber seals, and I want to keep the truck for the next 20 years.

 

A good portion of neon gas used in the chip production comes from Russia via Ukraine. Manufacturers have been switching supplies, but it takes time. Neon production is a by-product of steel smelting, so we are back to depending on China (and its steel mills) for neon production.

 

I'm part of the 5/19 Newark crowd. My latest update was May 31 at 4:25 pm mileage went up to six miles and tire pressure updated to 37 psi. I was assuming that the truck was getting loaded on a truck. Im thinking that the next time the app updates the truck will be in Greensburg Pa. I think that's an additional problem that was added onto the chip shortage. Once someone can go into a dealership and find their ideal vehicle with little compromises without making a reservation, then I think we'll be close to where it was pre shortage. The rate of people putting in reservations though I think will keep the shortage going into late 2023/2024. That's just my speculation though.

 

They are still insistent on not giving my $1000 back. Currently on the phone with Toyota Corporate and they are trying to reach them. Already talked to my attorney. If Toyota corporate can’t reach them right on this list attempt, Toyota corporate is creating a case file against them.

Truck was put on hold 05/23, rail arrived at Orillia on 05/31.
