It's the same with when you leave the God Blessed United States. Go somewhere like The Dominican Republic. The beach resort areas are lovely. But there's a thick veil over the fact that the people who work there are actually from the other side of the island, from Haiti. They are probably the most oppressed people I've ever met. It's times like this though that make you kiss this soul when you get back. Because as fkdup as it is sometimes, it's always better than most other places.

I could see Baltimore or any other city seeming like this compared to even where I live now only 45 miles away. Let alone some of the more rural areas of WVa or Va. It can be scary for sure.
