How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

Found my build at a dealership in Prescott AZ last Thursday. I called but they had just transferred it to another dealership that morning.

On Monday I'm poking around and see the same build pop up at a dealership in Trinidad, Colorado. I called and its there and available!

I feel like I got a good deal because the salesdude is personally driving the car 650mi to deliver it to me and flying back to colorado immediately after.

He said it had been shipped from Prescott over the weekend, so I really hunted this sucker down.

 

That's an incredible story! I've never heard of a salesman driving the car 650 miles to deliver it! That's awesome!

 

Hey @Rod03 I know this is a random question, but do you have any idea if the U.S. built Toyotas move to dealerships any faster? We ordered my wife a Highlander that was built yesterday and noticed it's assembled in Indiana. I'm going to laugh when she gets hers before mine shows up.

 

I had a 1,000.00 non refundable deposit on my credit card and decided to not get their truck. Someone in this forum said to dispute the charge, and so I did. It worked although it had been nearly 2 months since the charge had been made. Good luck with this…it’s your money, not theirs

 

Toyota corporate tried getting in contact. They created a case file which the dealer has to respond to me within 1 day.
I requested the paperwork I signed so my attorney can look at it. No response to that request.

I wish I did a credit card but they said they could only do a bank check... which is probably also not accurate since I did a $3k deposit on the one I just purchased with my card.


The state code seems to be in my favor: Title 37 Chapter 301 37 Pa. Code § 301.4. General provisions—motor vehicle dealer.

 

Truck is at the dealer. For those wondering it was placed on QC hold on 5/24 then went G yesterday 6/1. Arrived this morning 6/2.

 

Put the VIN in the toyota app and enable alerts (and make them non-temporary) ... then wait for door unlock events to pop up on your phone.

When you get those you are just a week or two away.

It's not so much where they are build, is how close you are to the plant. For example a Taco build in Baja will arrive to Cali way sooner than one to Utah per say.

 

The truck arrived to the Logistics park on 05/26, but it was placed on hold 05/23.

Makes sense. I figured customs might play a part in timing, but that was just a guess.

 

My dealer emailed me the following notice Tuesday....not sure if it would cause QC holds though. They said it could cause the package/features I requested to revert to the original build or it could cause the whole build to be cancelled. The good news is his system was showing the build got moved up to last week but no updates after that. If thats the case, this notice shouldn't affect my truck, just builds starting this week(when mine was originally supposed to be built).

 

It did arrived to the Logistics park on 05/15, place on hold on 05/24.

My 5/23 build from Baja just got to Southern Utah this afternoon. It left the port yesterday afternoon.
