If I didn't know any better I'd say they were ticks, but that seems like an absurd quantity of them. Possibly weevils?

I had them all over 1 of my tires a couple of weeks ago. I have not seen any in my area, or at least in my yard, in 5-10 years. Very odd. A few years ago a friend was hunting and they attacked his legs. He ended up soaking his legs in a barrel of diesel fuel to get rid of them.

They're just clover mites or spider mites, depending on who you talk to.

Just about to say the same. Nothing to worry about. Harmless like guys. Weird they tried to set up on your tire. Chiggers are almost invisible so its not them.

Billstein 5100 front and rear with new tires/wheels installed. Adding a front/rear bumper, new sound system and possibly more later on.

Had this truck for 17 years without a single mod, finally decided to trick it out after 222k miles lol

This might be a dumb question but can you go through the car wash with all of those mods?

Probably not. I always just hand wash because the car washes are pretty bad on your paint. Even though I have pin striping down my entire vehicle lol

Got the cover off, the 2 bolts behind the thermostat were a real pain.

Are you replacing the chain and guides while in there ? Cam gears ? Or just fixing the cover leak. How many miles on the engine ?

Or not ever washing it!

that’s my plan. Plus I live on a dirt road and it’s hot here and the truck is black. Last time I tried washing it it flash dried with the soap on so fuck it. Quick hose off the mud and done.

Did you order new o-rings and everything for the cover already? Here are the part numbers you’ll need if not. I’ve done this job a few times now and it’s always a good idea to swap them out imo. It’s a ridiculous amount of work to have to pull that cover off again.

    - Lower oil o-ring 96723-35028
Two o-rings in the middle of the timing cover on each side
    - 90301-25014
    - 90301-25020
    - Lower pass side of timing cover o-ring 90301-19021
    - Camshaft oil delivery pipe o-ring 96723-19011

Even a quick hose off leaves hard water spots all over my truck so I just don’t wash it until it gets so bad I have to. Usually I wait until it’ll rain the next day so the rain washes the spots away.
