    Thank you!

But I genuinely ask because I have nothing to really gauge off of.

You see tons of really nice welds posted online, custom fab shit, etc. In person, aside from what my co-worker does (production work only, like me) I'm not used to seeing anyone else work or see how well said work is.

The cost of labor is defiantly going up. this was just a quick google search. To me ( and just my opinion) you welding this bumper falls into this category (again just my $.02)

How much does a handyman charge in California?
The average handyman hourly rate in Bay Area, California is around $112.00 (range $83.00 to $140.00). The price to hire a handyman for 4 hours of work is around $446.00 (range $332 to $560) plus materials.

Can you make stuff appealing to the eye that sticks together?

$100/hr isnt too much to ask these days.

yep, pretty much sums it up. 80% golf courses, 15% retirement villages which have highest std rate per capita in the country. look it up! 5% everything else.

Wild anacondas, pythons and extremely venomous snakes too. There is no shortage of snake venom though.

There is 1 off road spot in the state. Everyone drives 12 sec diesels, does mud drags or street races.

I love having help around the house. My supervisors are making sure I'm replacing the boards on the deck correctly.

The coastal kit I did was pretty easy. Some plates fit together better than others. I ended up welding every seam, inside and out. Welding and clean up was more than a few hours (more like 10 total). I was afraid of warping so I took my sweet ass time and just doing 2"-3" stitches with plenty of waiting in between.

@koditten had mentioned something in the welding thread about welding the inside and only grinding the outside edges. Not sure if you are interested in that route, but it would definitely save some time.

    Damn.

I ran long ass 10" beads

I did opposing ends though and gave some time for cooling though I wouldn't count "allowing to cool" as welding time.

I didn't fully weld all the seams inside; based on the structure it didn't make sense to me. Just did stitch welds roughly 3-4 inch long with 7 inch centers.

Only did full welds on exterior seams.
