yeah...I don't like the feel of shimano's. Not for me. Definitely prefer the sram feel. personally. but people do like their shimano's.

Ive rode srams and coming from shimanos i always feel like i have no power with srams because they have so much modulation vs shimanos are like on off

I would experiment more with other brands but I work at my LBS. Some of the parts id swap over are Specialized specific (34.9 post) or a common standard but wont work with other bikes im interested in (superboost). The Specialized stuff is also the most bang for the buck avenue for me.

The Enduro and Evo are pretty close geo wise and from what ive read people go back and forth between them on what they prefer; right now I'm stuck in analysis paralysis. I believe its going to be getting an update soon with the overlap and it being one of the more dated bikes in their line up. That said its not completely off the table though and it was in my original post but I took it out.

Oh yeah, high elevations had just a little snow on them...
I was bleeding them. You need to get the contact point all the way out when you bleed, but apparently sometimes the wheel can get stuck there. Never had that happen before on them, and I was running two sets. I was mainly pissed because it was literally the very last thing to do before the build was complete. Bleeding the rear brake... I was so stoked to finally get this bike out, and bam...
Like I said, I'd still be running the Dominions if I didn't travel with this bike. Power of Shimano (probably more), modulation of SRAM, but lever feel is unparalleled. Unfortunately last time I was in Europe I broke a lever, and it was impossible find a replacement. I know Maguras are much easier to find replacement parts for than Hayes (especially in EU), but Code parts are pretty much anywhere.

Hitch lock definitely is cheap/thin. It fits pretty tight on the hitch for me so I feel better that it will be at least harder to hammer off or whatever. But mine is on a 4runner and may be tighter to get to anyway.

I had a set of Magura MT7 Pro's and loved them! I'm 200 pounds and an absolute novice (read: goes too fast and then brakes too much) and they are amazing for stopping. A little squeaky when first starting but just fine.

They are a bit more of a pain to bleed but were airtight for me after bled.

    Yeah.
I use one of these and block access to the ball-tightening security bolt. Anyone can buy one of those security wrenches on Amazon (I lost mine and bought replacements on Amazon for like $7).

Thank ya. It's loose on my truck. And the spacer they include is a little too thick. The lock doesn't fit over the pin with the spacer on.

Good idea on the lock. How do you lock access to the bolt? With this lock in a specific configuration?

    Yeah.
My 1up has a hole in the top and bottom that I drop the lock shackle through. The shackle then blocks access to the head of the screw. Something with a slightly shorter shackle of the same diameter might work, this is just what I found at the hardware store.

That’s a good solution. I bent my locking pin when the rack was on my wife’s VW and it dragged on the ground pulling into our driveway (much worse departure angle than the Tacoma :)). When I tried to straighten it, snap. The replacement from 1Up was $14, just for the pin … lock was undamaged. This padlock is cheaper and probably more secure.

When it's 90+ degrees out, you park Island Boy style.

Anyone in Orange County willing to separate with a hard tail on the cheap? Would really like to support a friend with getting a new bike. His is so used and beat, I think any upgrade would be a nice surprise for him. Size medium.
