Wait sorry guys you are correct, I take back what I said! I was thinking of this lame place called Tower Music or something that was in the mall by my house. (It was basically like Musicland or Sam Goody) And yes that was a cool documentary. But yeah I was always more into the small mom and pop record stores with like one weird nerdy but at the same time really cool guy working and we’re just packed with so much stuff in a tiny little space. We had a bunch of those in Chicago when I was growing up, a few of them are still around.

Who remembers going to Disneyland and riding in the *Edit name correction* “Submarine Voyage” ride the mermaids were live ladies / girls?
I also remember going back in 87 and riding the same ride and seeing automated mermaids and telling my wife they used to be live girls. The gentleman behind us said they never used live girls! Then the female attendant said Yes they did Sir for the first two years of the ride we had live ladies as the mermaids.

 

Never been to Disneyland just DisneyWorld in 1982 The ride was 20,000 leagues under the sea.

I doubt that Disneyworld ever had live Mermaids

That reminds me of Space Mountain a roller coaster in the dark.

 

Ah yes, the old FM converter. Had one of those myself that I bought at K-Mart and installed in my hand-me-down '76 Chevy station wagon. Sound quality was lacking, but still much preferred to AM radio offerings.
