You are asking ME, king of both the outlandish purchase & the unfinished project??
Of course it is worth it!

Seriously, it is a Briggs engine and most of the mechanical bits are probably standard stuff right from McMaster - Carr with the possible exception of the right angle gearbox towers for the wheels.

If I was there this Kal-Truk is what would come home on my trailer. There should be a 2 cylinder Wisconsin and a 3 speed manual transmission lurking under the drivers seat, you shift with your left hand.
These have a 700-1000 pound payload and would make a neat yard truck.

And maybe this... It is an electric Ford Courier, obviously the truck is knackered and without a title, however the electric drive train could go in any small truck, it uses the original manual transmission too. Power control was very primitive in the 70s, with the modern EV stuff easily available this would be a neat and fairly practical project for an older Ranger or S10 truck (or Toyota too).

    Good happy it's Friday day.
I set my alarm a hour off last night...peek a eye open at clock this morning and a half hour later than when I get up:goingcrazy:
Lots of cool stuff posted yesterday. I got home from work yesterday and power nap, then mowed some of the yard. Like to have those yard duties done before the weekend.

This was on my desk at work, late yesterday. I've been involved with several control room modifications over the years and generally we perform this work during shutdowns.
I'm going to go put my eyes on this work today.
Restrictions on cutting may be imposed...hmmm?
Maybe they expect me to gently file off 3/8" width for a length of 5.5" in 3/16" steel??

:rofl:when I was working as a contractor here, they had done a weld repair on a turbine case half. I think me and another guy rubbed on that parting surface with a stone for 2 days straight, 12.5 hours a day.
He on one side of it, me the other...he looks over at me and ask, "how do I look?" I think we both just started laughing.

You could almost think that was the ocean, cool!

20 miles, kind of shows how interesting things can be found right in our own back yard sometimes.

Indeed! One of the reasons we moved up here 19 years ago . The mountains were the draw, metro Boston traffic during the Big Dig was the push..

I was looking for something yesterday and found these from previous vehicles I’ve had and also before the internet was a thing.
