Army Green thread: let’s keep it green!

Well, I got an email from our vehicle services (Toyota employee, ordered through our lease program) telling me that due to supply chain issues and because my truck will be built in the last month of the 22MY, that Army Green is no longer available so I had to change my order to a different color.

 

That sucks! I was also seeing that Army green isn’t available in the online configuration also.

 

So AG is going away for 2023?

 

I just saw it wasn’t in the configurator for 2022 anymore. When you click it, it says unavailable. I haven’t seen any info about 2023 colors yet.

 

I’m in no place to buy a 2023 (or any MY) Tacoma but I hope it sticks around. For how long of a run Cement and Quicksand have had, I’d imagine AG would be around for 5 or so years.

It may be that they’re done making MY 2022 and so the configurator online only shows colors that are still available to allocate. It might be back once MY 2023 hits to Toyota website.

 

I didn't see it in the configurator on our employee portal for 2023. The Trail Edition isn't listed on our configurator for 2023 either, which doesn't necessarily mean that either are going away, just that I can't order one through our program.

 

According to the press release the Trail is coming back so I guess there’s hope that AG will stay.

The Trail Edition is offered in four exterior color choices that include Lunar Rock, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Black and White. For a standout look on road or trail, the Trail Edition front grille features unique bronze-colored lettering, and rear bumpers are color-keyed to match the exterior paint color. Inside, the black fabric seating features unique tan stitching. No mention that is going to have the Army Green anymore at least on the Trail Edition configuration.

Glad to see it’s sticking around. It’s a good package. Has all the things I want in the truck without paying for a bunch of extra stuff I don’t care about.

They change our lease program based on market demand so it’s probably just a case of where it’s available but we just can’t order it. For example, we can’t order Tundra or Sequoia at all right now, and they did a similar thing with the Supra when it first came out. That new limited run 40th anniversary 4Runner also isn’t available for obvious reasons. Lol

 

Just like Christmas! How much lift are you installing?

Ill play. Picked this up just before Christmas, third Tacoma, first brand new vehicle. Had a 2000 TRD, still have a 98 SR5. Added this 22 DCLB OR to my fleet.

Got my turbomac classics mounted up yesterday. Loving the new stance and look!

 

What camper shell do you have? Does it have windoors and slide open?

 

Leer 100XR, windoors on both sides, they flip up, almost vertical when open. So much nicer than regular sides. In the second pic you can see the slider on the back half. Its not very big but I like it as my dogs cant get through as opposed to a traditional slider. For those curious the windoors were $500 extra for the pair

 

After months of waiting finally picked up my AG trd sport on may 16 first thing I did was drop it off at the tint shop, cold air intake, tonneau cover, and some seat covers just waiting on wheels and tires to come in so I can lift it.
