Got an email from some rando through PayPal saying I owe them almost $700 for "services rendered", scammers be scammin

 

lmao such a trick

I guess enough people accidentally send it to make it worth it

 

it was a legit invoice and sent through Paypal's actual email account, but I looked it up and apparently it's a well known attempt by scammers to comb through PayPal users and send out random invoices in the hopes that some get paid.

I mean if you're gonna do that, make it for like $10 or something, $700 isn't something I would just pay without looking into lol.

It makes me a little sad that people don't take care of the interior of there cars. Especially this cruiser.

remember when that dude didnt' ship my parts, didn't provide a tracking code, and threw a tantrum about my impatience of asking for a tracking code after ~2 weeks and sent my money back? and then accidentally sent me money again because he messed up requesting it from me? lmao

 

LOL. I had someone randomly Venmo me a couple hundred bucks once, must've selected the wrong person when they were sending money. I'm a decent person so of course I reach out to him and tell him, dude proceeds to freak out and sent me texts one after the other for probably a half hour until the money cleared back into his account.

like chill the F out dude you're the one that messed up, lucky I'm not ordering truck parts with it instead

Venmo does this thing now where you have to put the last 4 digits of a person's # in if they're a new connection probably because so many accidentally sending money to the wrong place

Through paypal some rando requested 158.70 from me with the tag line "Ak-chin!" And I promptly canceled the request. Almost instantly the same person requested the amount again with the tag line "Golf".

Before I could cancel that one as well, he must've realized he was talking to the wrong person cause he canceled it lol
