Looks so bad that I "only" drive it on rainy days, or at night, and it looks great when its wet. This is what happens when the clear coat is completely gone. From 20 feet away the hood actually looks ok.

That roof looks chalky white no matter how far away you stand. Lesson to others is protect, clean and wax the hood and roof BEFORE they get this bad. I bought it this way so it was already too late. So even with $1000 in new paint I still have around $15.5k in a truck with 84k miles. Still a win.

Then I can break down and put a good head unit in it with a good satellite capable antenna. Already put kickers in it. Didn't want to waste money on tunes while looking out at that hood. Did put Clazzios in it so the inside looks fine. It has been a bit of a downer cosmetically after having a new 3rd gen for over 5 years. The new paint will cure that. Def happier in 2nd gens. Does surprise me that our 2012 Pyrite Mica with 150k miles has outstanding paint. I guess it comes down to body and paint care.

VHT SP888 Red lens paint. I couldn't find any aftermarkets that I like so I just modded the stock ones.

I didn't bother putting the cover back on, felt it was kind of restrictive.

Helps make the radio plug and play. It also retains steering wheel controls

828E8D29-3289-445A-BB78-168D7F4D91F8.jpg Nothing much, changed my oil and after went to start it and let it run for a few so I could recheck the oil level for OCD sake only to be slapped in the face by the sound of CLACKITYCLACKITCLACKITCLACKITYGIGGGITGIGGGITGIIGITY……
My initial thoughts were, fudge me, my engine is knocking violently, wtf did I do!!!!???!!!

Then after turning off my engine and opening the hood was I hit with the awesome wave of relief that the sound was due to me forgetting my Taco Bell oil catch cup:facepalm:

Nice, running 3rd gen myself (sport) setup,
I dig the feel/ride of them as well as the gained .75” maybe 1” lift, can’t quite remember….

Really looking forward to it. Mine are sagging, and causing some excessive rake with the HD leafs in the back.

Which did you decide, sport or off-road? Win win either way, I chose the sport because I don’t off-road much, and enjoy the more responsive feel of the road. I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea:thumbsup:

Off-Road. I don't really "off-road" but do like to hit some rough FSRs for those secluded rec sites.
