Yes this is true.

I do have a pension but it's not touchable until age 55 (6.5 more years) at the earliest. Pretty sure I can still get it at that age regardless of my status there.

Not getting chosen I can live with. Let's face it, odds are always better of not getting picked just because of the numbers game.

The ghosting of this is the part that perturbs me.

Yeah that could be I suppose. At least by the article it didn't really seem like it was a sham interview..those tend to be very rote in my place. I'm sure that a prior interview 3 years ago was since the reason for decline was my not knowing one part of the claims world, which was known all along to the people who interviewed me as they work in the same unit and interact with me.

Pretty stupid though and especially humourous in a way when places wring their hands asking why they lose people.

Gents - Haven't caught up here in a good while - So I just read about 30 pages of the NE happenings here - belated Congrats to Drew! - She seemed like a super nice lady when we were talking, while you were doing all the hard work on my truck! Started back working on the truck last weekend and put a set of Meso puddle lights on the truck. I always thought I could come up with something on my own to do this, but this was straight forward, about a 4 hr install in my small garage - lesson learned, make sure the ball at the end of the door lock cable actually stays in the door button on door panel re-install and the power locks will work as designed. Less than a 5 minute fix, but a head scratcher to diagnose the reason, at least for me! Tonight I installed the front sway bar relocation brackets, pushes the bar a bit further away from the front coils, was getting a rare occasional rub after the leveling kit install. Supposed to be a good weekend weather wise - I hope to get a good blaze going in our firepit! Enjoy the weekend! - Bill in Plymouth

Austin area real estate is bonkers and with the economy there is likely to stay that way. You have to get about an hour outside of Austin itself to see anything reasonable. Bastrop is still on the edge of reasonable, but that won't last long. To the west you have to go out to Marble Falls and again that's for now.

Williamson County has some reasonable real estate.

Politically, Austin is a lot like Cambridge. FYI.

Avoid Waco. I've been reliably informed by a former MA resident who has lived in TX for 5 or 6 years that Waco is pretty much Springfield, but without the NBA Hall of Fame.
