    Did a 2021 Tundra with Harrop today. It was raining with lots of traffic so not a lot of juicy stuff to share.

    The 2650 rotor pack moves about 50g/sec more at 5400 than the Maggy at WOT with the Harrop at ~3/4 throttle.

    That could be because the average turkey has no idea what the heck knock/ ping is let alone what it sounds like.

    Not saying they are the average person, but that could be one of the explanations.

    ive never been able to identify knock by sound or drivability. only when @JustDSM mentioned when tuning.

    We don't start from any "base" tune, all of our calibrations are built off the stock calibration and each vehicle is tuned based on the environmentals, fuel, tolerances and driving character the client requests.

    I didn't look at the supplied tune.

    This was a State 2 setup with a 80mm pulley, DW650's and a DW340lph pump. Otherwise stock but a very heavy rig with bumpers, skids/sliders, lights, etc. Was also on 37's and 5.29's.

    Oh ya basically what they supply is a jig to crush the fuel regulator. Nothing done to the Ecu.

    For the Stage 1 Kit, correct.

    The Stage 2 setup (pulley) requires the injectors/pump. The Magnusson kit (with whatever injectors they supply) on a stock truck taxes them to the tune of about 85-90% Injector Duty Cycle. In my opinion, a S/C Tundra should have a fuel pump minimum - and injectors to do it right.

    Tundra trd injectors i believe were tested at around 550

    I think he mentions it needs a fuel pump at least 250lph

    That I don't have enough data on to comment on with any degree of certainty.

    The crushing, adds preload to diaphragm spring, which will increase fuel pressure. How much I couldn't quite say. From what I've learned tuning the Magnuson kits is the factory injectors don't have much headroom, and with the Harrop having a larger rotor pack and moving a good bit more air, you're definitely putting trust in the hands of someone else. Personally, a tune (even for a Harrop Stage 1) would be money well spent in my opinion. Just to take control of the fueling, ignition, transmission tuning, etc. I firmly believe a well rounded tune would improve the safety margin and even make for a better driving truck.

    100% confirms my feelings the truck needs a pump and what the data showed.

    My modeling also reflects similar flow rates based on the calibration data. Nice to see the data he came up with.
