    Took it all apart.

    Zero clogs.

All the joints were dirty and loose. Cleaned and re-assembled dry.

Look at HW store for joint alternatives. AT the very least I can caulk and seal the bastard to within an inch of it's life.

I'm thinking the same thing. But, it easier for a contractor to refurbish something. The porch is roughly 7' x 4' about 3' to 3 1/2' in height. To break up a solid porch will be time consuming. Most contractor wants to get to the next job quick.

He also suggest a solid granite porch, YA right. Not in this neighborhood.

If I can't find a masonry contractor then I may have to. While they're there all damage will be taken care of.

A block porch is more durable to withstand shoveling. My neighbor's porch get beat up every winter.

    That is what it did.

I had a concrete patio with concrete stairs right against cedar siding. So stupid, with short roof overhang. I was replacing the sliding door anyway. (That's another story). The cedar and the sheathing were rotted but the sill plate and support luckily, had just started to wet but no rot. I flashed and sealed the crap out of it. Never will be wet again.

A small job with a big price.

With the cinder block porch, in the future I have the option to close up the porch.

Have you tried Rustoleum Neverwet? It's supposed to work on wood.

Yes it’s the same, but like I said there are many different products available that’s just what we use

If you were to pour the porch to door threshold height there wouldn’t be an issue with step height as there would be no step lol

With today's prices, the sky the limits.

I want to keep things budget friendly. I still have to get the whole yard back together.

I don't remember what the porch look like when it was first done. But it look like they pour concrete right over the house wood shingles.

It supposed to be some kind of superhydrophobic coating. Just read, durability is 6 months.

This isn't going to last in this environment.

Yes, something wasnt prepped right to sink like that. I had a 40' x12' pad done, although it was covered the outside of the pad was not. It had lots of water and never heaved or sank in 6yrs we owned it
