Yes, only way I will do Windrock again is if it is a week or two ride. It is too far for just a weekend ride for me.

It's only 4 hours but there is like 12 other places between here and there that are similar to it. Windrock is huge you need a week to just explore a small part of it.

That's a lot closer than I am to it. I love that park. Been enough and seen more than 70% of it. Lots of weekend trips and have plans to go to certain sections.

I like the park but every time I've been everybody camps at the trailhead and you can only go so far in a day from the trailhead. To cover most of it you'll spend more than a day just getting to where you want to go to ride. I have seen a lot of the park but nowhere near 70% of the 72,000 acres but I have seen a lot of it several times. That is why I said if I go back I want to spend a week or even two, to where I can find trails that I haven't already rode on. If you go on a day trip or even a two day trip you will be covering the same trails that you did on your last trip over and over or waste most of the day getting to trails you haven't rode on. I don't want to spend all day riding dirt roads to get to a certain trail. That's why a long trip would be nice. Start out and ride some trails all day to get to new trails, camp and ride all new trails the next day, use them to circle back to the trailhead for supplies and do it again. We have a lot of trails in Alabama and south Tennessee that are comparable to Windrock for weekend trips.

We've treked all the way to carryville flats and rode the trails out there in a day from the main gate. You don't have to do that though because there are many entrance points and they have improved and gotten some more parking spots for trailers and such so you can park and enter from different areas of the park. Some areas like carryville you can camp just down the road. There isn't really camping allowed inside the park on the trails though. l get it the long arduous gravel road can get boring and annoying trying to get somewhere. The small compact parks around are much more action packed with shorter and quicker trails for ea. Those are fun and I get the sentiment for quick weekend trips especially living so close to them. I'm not so lucky so driving to windrock or harlan is actually the closest trails to me. Ya'lls trails are 7+ hrs away. For those a weekend is hard to fit even the small parks in a weekend.

Yeah they say no camping in the park but the groups I've went with and a lot of other groups always camp inside the park. I know the other parks are a longer trip for you, all I am saying is for me if I am driving to Windrock that has the same type trails as closer parks I want to make it a long stay so I can do a lot of the trails. I can ride trails at parks within a couple hours from my house if I'm only doing a one or two day trip. I really want to plan a trip for two weeks to Windrock. The last two trips to Windrock we went in other entrances, you just about have to if you dont want to spend all day riding from the trailhead, it's a huge park.

Shit 2 weeks there would be awesome go to the Sandmines and all over there. No doubt you can spend all day on just one or 2 trails. Especially if you go on some.of the 2+ mile long blacks. There is 7ish mile long black up at carryville I want to check out that's really the part of the park I need to see m9re of.

Few guys from Alabama and Tennessee have been talking about doing a two week trip, nothing definite yet but I will let you know when they set a date if you want to go. Or maybe we can set our own trip up. Will have to be in the fall for a trip that long so the heat won't be so bad.

I’ve narrowed down the sound to the front driver side. I took the wheel off last night and took rotor and break off cleaned everything and still maligning this noise. Bearing doesn’t seem to have play in it but I’m still getting this noise. Don’t think it’s cv. When I hit break noise goes away. Pretty sure it doesn’t do it in 4wd but I could be wrong. Any ideas? I’m thinking bearing.
