    Picking up a bunkie board today. If you dont know what that is, neither did I before I picked up a new king mattress last weekend. I guess piller top mattresses and normal box springs make it too high for short ladies. Gotta get a low pro bunkie board :spending:

    Went to Home Depot yesterday. They had a corporate rep there demonstrating Gear Wrenches. Gotta a 18 piece standard and metric set for 90 bucks.

    Nah , it's not. I like Gear Wrenches. That 10-12-14 mm come in handy on a Taco.

    I think gear wrench may be actual manufacturer of my Craftsman branded set. I've always thought them to be of decent quality.
    I use a small socket behind the holes along with ball peen hammer of appropriate size to mash the gasket sealing area flat again. This is a very important step to prevent leaks. I didn't think the transmission pan looked bad on my daughter's Jeep so I didn't hammer them out a little ways. I had to take it back off and properly mash them back out.:frusty:

    Not sure what I'll do today but I back the 4runner in the driveway other day so I can put those lower ball joints on.

    Edit; Hour of the Gun with James Garner 1967

    That's a good movie. It's always a little odd watching a western with a non-western actor.

    Nice score! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    GearWrench came to market in the mid 90's and fellow at the way back job bought a set -- the "smart guys" immediately commenced to tell him they wouldn't last because they weren't "strong enough" for industrial work.

    Well, a large part of his job was to service over 100 air handlers -- uncounted belt adjustments and motor alignments later the GWs still worked like new -- and saved so much time!

    Very quietly, one by one the "smart guys" all bought GearWrench sets. :laugh:

    Alot of us have started ordering the Proto splined drive ratcheting wrenches. They grip so much better. Yea, they're made in Taiwan, but are holding up against us monkeys with a toolbox!

    https://www.grainger.com/product/PROTO-Combination-Wrench-Alloy-Steel-1XDF1

    I always carry 2 - 7/16, 2 - 1/2, 2 - 9/16, 2 - 13mm, and 2 - 3/4 in my crash bag. Along with a 3/4 splined stubby. That'll fix 90% of what breaks where I work :D

    I bought some back in the 90's. My 10-12 don't ratchet anymore. Think my son beat on them and over torqued them.

    Why we can't have them at my place of employment. One has to have enough common sense to break the fasteners free with a more robust tool first.

    Just kidding but I did have several extra pulls on the rip-cord before I figured it out...
    See my old one was just a kill switch auto back to run position :anonymous:
