Put 3rd gen TRD-OR shocks on the Tacoma today. Was gonna do UCAs too but I ended up spending 9 hours on shocks and needing to ask for help 6 hours in.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/sos-need-help-with-shock-installation.767812/

We got it figured out eventually though. Definitely gonna just order bolts for the UCAs, I tried bending the metal but it just wasn’t working for me, probably needed bigger channel locks. Took it for a little test drive and I like it, big improvement going over small bumps from construction, not as big an improvement going over the 2 miles where they’ve torn up the road but beggars can’t be choosers. We’ll have to wait to see how it does on dirt and sand.

Do you have any pics of them on the truck after you painted them black? I've been wanting to paint mine black and I have the same color truck.

Definitely easier if you have helpers... Took me about 4 hours for all 4 and an oil change

Washed it before it got too hot and sunny. I've been debating what wheels I want to go with for a long time now. I'd like a darker matte bronze but the shipping on SCS F5s to the east coast is crazy. I'm looking at the F5s, something from FN, or the Falcon T2.

Washed the truck. Clay barred the driver’s bed side and put a cost of wax on it. What a difference!

Now I just need to do the entire truck. :goingcrazy:

    +1 on the skipping Maaco.
This is my front bumper they sprayed and left a big ole run in the paint. Tried to get them to fix it, they argued, ended up just taking an insignificant discount. It has haunted my OCD ever since.

Swapped my front speakers for some Infiniti Kappa 603CF components. Still need some locking hardware to secure the crossovers better and better terminals for the tweeter connections. But hope to button all of that up tomorrow morning. First time I've ever had a higher end set of speakers (yes I know in the grand scheme of things they are still nothing). Crutchfield had them on sale for 25% off so thought I'd give them a shot.

Since I don’t have any big trips planned other than a few 3-4 day-ers, decided to clear off my roof to find an mpg or two…. Of course with all the weight off i picked up a slight driveline vibration…..
