Figured I'd post in with the fellow porch rockers :) Birthday 65 coming up on the 12th. I actually survived the mental trauma of signing up for Medicare for the first time. I guess I'm now officially an old fart!

This is my second Tacoma, first was in the late 1990s. Very bare bones, even had crank windows. I like my current version a lot better.

I am an instructor as well so these days I would be out of a part time gig if I didn’t have reloads.
I’ll try this I have pretty good lenses now and want them to stay that way!

Welcome to the porch Hector. It seems more folks over 60 are getting into the Tacoma market. Pull up a seat, relax and the rest of the folks will be along after nap time.

The sad part of this headlight service requirement - my tail lights (OEM 2014) have clear covers - and not a sign of yellowing or crusting over in the same AZ sunlight. So our friends at Toyota actually know the answer..........

Happy birthday! Old will always be the guys that are 10 years older. If 20 years old, the 30 year old guy is old. if 40 years old, that guy that is 50 years old is the old guy. So in the 60’s , it is the 70 year old person is older.

The older you get, the faster time flies! Boy does it flies!

A little something every chance we get.
Welcome Hector! If you go back a page, you'll find it really doesn't matter much WHAT you fill the cooler with, as long as you do!

Stupid filter is giving me a headache, and wasting water. Everything works right, except filter mode. Power flushes, and back washes have made it better, but not right yet. I will google additional ideas.

How about 70+? I saw the Rolling Stones live at CSU in 1969 and in Munich in 1973, also saw Pink Floyd perform in Munich in 1973...I got my drivers license in 1962.

I know I’m stupid but that don’t look right to me.

I had low filter pressure and had to change out the sand.

Google history of Toyota. Toyota open it’s dealership in America in 1958. The first Toyota truck in America, call the Toyota Stout was sold in 1964. Japan’s first Toyota truck was built in 1935.

I still see a few Toyota trucks 4x4, with the 7 foot beds. Rare find, Kona, Hawaii.
There is a blue Toyota PU 4x4 ( 7 foot bed) with matching camper top. Lifted. Very well kept.

Motor Trend article mentions the first Toyota P/U 4x4 was sold in America , 1979. The Toyota dealership on the island of Oahu ,Hawaii, couldn’t get enough 4x4 P/U’s. I sign up to get one in 1979, I was the 77th person in line. Later I decided to not get one. Still in College.

Damn, you almost sound like a member who got banned or just had enough BS from the younger generation and was never posting here again. Jim AKA river rat 69 was the second member of the 60+ thread when I started it. Seems like a long time ago. 70+ is here until you hit the 80 then there is a thread for the 80+ crowd started by wanna taco who hangs out with us young folks. Hang around and enjoy.

Four wheeling never gets old, just us. Lol.
I am nearing seventy, 2019 Tacoma TRD, still love to go shoreline fishing. Our flavorite fishing spots can only be reach with a 4x4. Camping overnights is still enjoyable, prefer 2-3 nights of camping ,but done a couple 9 days at the beach.

Since Covid, and finally built my truck the way I wanted, I am ready to roll, but coffee picking season is about to start.

Stay healthy, keep busy, enjoy every moment. People will always remember you by how you treat others. “Be nice”

Brand new filter, valve (duplicate of previous), 150 lb. New Zeo sand, which is the correct amount. It's not hard. Fill with sand. Connect plumbing, check for leaks. But filter position isn't pushing it through the medium for some reason. Not like we haven't done this before either!
But, push something hard enough, it will fall over!

    Evening all:
Welcome to the newbies who joined us on the porch, we're going to need to get some bigger coolers!
Another 70+ here, it was already brought up about a 70+ thread, but the 60+ seems to fit the bill, waiting for a 100+ thread, but whoever starts it will probably be talking to themself!
