Did my first DIY oil change on this truck so I could work toward saving some money on these in the future. Got a box of Havoline, the same as the mechanic down the street, for $22 at Walmart. Installed a fumoto valve and even got to use it because apparently 6qt is too much oil so I had to empty some out already. The screw-in funnel was just amazing. The filter drain tool was absolutely brilliant. A totally worth it set up made everything pretty mess free. I look forward to the next one in a year now that everything is set up correctly and draining will be a breeze.

Did my first oil change using the MotivX kit. Really nice. Also installed Fumoto valve, rotated tires and checked bolts underneath for torque.

Was doing so good. Hadn't spilled a drop. After loosening filter housing I dropped the tool, socket and extension right in the oil pan with 6 quarts of oil in it. Lol:anonymous: Can't take me anywhere.

Dealer finally got the correct rails in so I now have the right tonneau cover with rails I can utilize for a bed rack.

This is on my list of to do for the truck. I wonder if the kit is compatible with the metra harnesses/kicker key harness setup?

After installing my anytime camera my ditch light wireharness decided to blow a fuse. Anyone know why this may happen? Lol

how does anybody feel about the way the oil filter is designed? do you wish it was a metal spin on type like most vehicles?

I kinda like the design and ease of installation of the new style. The MotivX kit with the drain tube works well.

Love my Retrax. Hope you love it too.

For the future (esp if shady dealer trying to save/squander/steal a buck skimped on the drain installation) <--- cynic in me (also alliteration)
