Knuckles, crotch, and nose. Wrench slipped in a tight spot and I busted my knuckles on the end of my nose. Feels awesome!

Thanks, Mike. You reminded me of the old vinyl record from Fred Arbogast... "And the bottom of the lake exploded!" Fun to listen to that promo record that was free with my purchase of a Hula Popper in the early '70s... I may still have that, and if I find it will convert to mp3... and a CD for the original Taco stereo (better than listening to microwave interference on FM). It's raining... 1/2" as of this morning and another 1/2 to 1" before we get back to drier (need to pull a load out of the dryer) weather Tuesday. Five more days of school! The last day for ALP Math was yesterday, so I won't have this group of 5th graders to help any more...

Sweet! Dad loved those speckled trout, and so did John Voelker of Ishpeming, Michigan (former state attorney general and author of numerous books including Trout Madness, Trout Magic, Anatomy of a Fisherman, and the book that became a film, Anatomy of a Murder). My only visit to Ishpeming was in late February-early March for a last visit with my Swede fishing grandma before she passed in 1980, so I had no opportunity to look for John Voelker for a game of cribbage with coffee on Sunday morning. (My uncle, the Presbyterian pastor at the time, told me that as he was a church member.) Everyone has their own ministry...

Time to break out the crochet hook! It really, really works on 40 lb. test DuPont Stren monofilament as we knew (and learned) on the upper Snake River sturgeon research project.

Yes. Haha. It all came back to me after a few minutes of head scratching. Got all my gear ready to go for my early Tuesday departure. It's a 4.5 hour drive to my first destination/location. Still need to pick up a few food items today. Want everything ready to go by this evening as I have a few things to do tomorrow.
