I also plan to put insulation inside the walls that I can, it’s only that pocket door space I can’t.

 

No they are multi muted colors. I think it's just a name used interchangeably. 1/2-1". Looks nice with our wall and patio, IMHO. I doubt they actually are from Mexico.

 

More concrete grinding/polishing. Ready for this messy phase of my life to be over. Cleaning is by far the worst part.

 

sonopan is specifically designed for sound control , thats why I suggested that product

 

I know, I liked it for sure, just not carried here and would’ve had to order it through Home Depot. Soonest date was a couple weeks out. So I went with something that should suffice.

having 2 sheets of drywall, sheet of ply, and 3/4” foam board should provide enough sound proofing, at least 1000% better than the rest of this house lol

It hit me this AM. Better solution to avoid the S at the bottom completely. Just buy new tubage. Bring the top semihorizontal in further then just come straight down to the plastic cap. Simple.

Same concrete bricks from home depot I used for my wall. Just lay the number of bricks you want in a perfect circle. 12-13-14 work. Did not try 15. Spray paint the circumference on turf. Move bricks. Dig and level.

Put in crushed rock or sand. Level and compact perimeter.

Lay first brick. Level in all directions. Next and so on. Check across for level. First layer is toughest. Rest easy just make sure bricks are clean and don't rock. I went 3 high so not worried about collapse. Haha

I'm sure there are smarter or better ways. I didn't search
