I need to figure out what to do with my median strip, I don't want to water but I don't want gravel since it soaks up the heat too

Stay away from north facing driveways the time investment in keeping it from turning into a non stop ice rink is real

My parents driveway is north facing and it’s pretty much just solid ice 99% of the winter

You can put 2 hydronic loops down it. Line cut a few strips and put in. Hopefully it’s not super long.

Thanks man. I owe it all to a game of Trivial Pursuit. I've told this story a few times but don't remember if I ever have in this site.

Early 2000 I was playing a game of Trivial with 2 buddies. Both are approximately 4X smarter then I am. One graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rice with a Masters at 20. The other is a literal rocket scientist. Like I said, smart guys. I was just a paid fireman at the time.

My brain has always had a way of remembering stupid shit. Which makes games like Trivial and shows like Jeopardy my go to. All 3 of us are also highly competitive Type-A assholes. That's why we get along so well.

After some time I get the final piece of the pie and win. I can't even remember the question some 22 years later. What I will always remember is my buddy John's response. I get what ever question it was correct and win the game. John, in sore loser mode, stands up and screams "Well, aren't you the fucking esoteric one!"

It stuck and I've been using it ever since. lol

Lol. Esoteric usually refers to science. So, prob a science question I assume. Esoteric by meaning is something that is only accepted or followed by a small group of people. Ancient history beliefs, astrology and reincarnation are esoteric beliefs among others.

2002 tacoma, 3rz - The coolant system diverter on the fire wall directly behind the engine is controlled by the middle temperature dial, correct? I cannot get the actuating cable to move.

It's controlled by whichever dial on yours controls hot and cold.

Once built a sailboat like that, then you can coat with then fiberglass. Good insulator and reasonably less heavy than other woods.
