    That's an aftermarket AC system too, not just a retrofit. Pretty neat tho

    I remember looking inside one that was brand new in the mid 1980's, it was on display at the local Mall.

    Well, it was originally R-12; The A/C was probably installed by the RV builder back in 1986...

    We had some family friends with one when I was young. I also just saw one listed for sale locally, I’ll try to find the ad again.

    Never been overwhelmingly poor I see, well that's a good thing haha. It's God awfully salty cheese that's similar in texture to Velveeta. It was given out to folks who were very impoverished, might still be I dunno. There were (are?) a lot of gov foods to help people scrape by.

    Hopefully it doesn't happen but if our gas prices go higher and our economy sinks further we will all be eating it.

    Nope it's real, but it's designed for longevity not taste. Dairy farmers over produced and this shit is salted to hell and stored for a rainy day

    The license plate comes back to a 1995, but I think it might be older; It is sitting at the same body shop as the white Cressida, and is likely there to get the damage on the passenger side repaired. Do think it would be totaled if they went through insurance?

    Originally a thread called Marty McFly has driven less than 200K miles in almost 40 years!...

    I went to a car show in New Jersey today, not knowing what I might find; Turns out that it was definitely worth driving more than an hour to a place I'd never been to before!

    What we have here is a highly accurate 1985 Toyota XtraCab SR5 done up to look exactly like the daily driver of one Martin Seamus McFly! BTTF aside, as any diehard Toyota truck fan knows, 1985 is the cream of the crop for these trucks because it was the very last year for factory solid axles and the first year for fuel injection; So basically, you got a much more durable off-roader right off the showroom floor, with a less-finicky EFI system...

    :drool::drool::drool::drool:

    Also, this truck is LOADED; I know for a fact that Marty's on-screen truck had A/C and a cassette player, but I'm pretty sure it did not have power windows. This one not only has A/C, but it has power windows and locks, cruise control, and even intermittent wipers! This is obviously not Marty's on-screen truck, but the title of the thread comes from the fact that this exact truck has just a little over 193K miles on it, which is extremely low for a Toyota truck that is 38 years old as of this post! By comparison, my Tacoma is less than 13 years old and has almost 152K miles!

    Of course, it wouldn't be Back to the Future without an accurate 1981 Delorean Time Machine, and the white Ford E250 is one of the less-ogled vehicles of the original movie, the official campaign vehicle of Hill Valley mayor Goldie Wilson!

    Pictures of the truck to come momentarily; Just be patient, folks! ;):)

    Your dead on OP . Last year of the solid axle. First year of the 22RE. If it was a 5 speed manual couldn’t beat that truck.
