    The owner of this rig says he saw one in somewhat better shape go for $50K, and he estimates that this one is worth about $35K as it sits; The cruise control has not been tested, and the A/C has not yet been turned on this year, but the owner says it is still R-12 and was working last summer. Aside from the A/C and the cruise control, which aren't broken but merely "status unknown", everything in the truck is fully operational. The truck does not have classic tags on it, so I'm assuming the owner just has regular insurance...

    I'd like to think that Marty is like me with regards to being attached to his first vehicle (which also like me happens to be a Toyota truck), and would absolutely refuse to sell!

    Which this one is! :thumbsup::):drool:

    I would sell my beloved Tacoma, which just got a new frame last November, to buy this truck; Unfortunately, fair market value for my truck even in this economy is like a little over $12K at most. This beast is easily worth $30K, and I'm saving up to buy a house and don't have the money to be paying $30K cash for anything right now.

    They’re have been a few of these that have gone for 6 figures in the last year and half at auction. Just recently a 85 4Runner went 120k.

    Did they replace rubber and plastic components and check the A/C charge? Stuff degrades over time, regardless of how well-preserved the vehicle is...

    I knew power windows were an option, but not as early as 1985, and I've never seen a Toyota truck of this era with them in person! I honestly don't think that I've EVER seen a regular cab Toyota (even a Tacoma), with factory power windows, in person!

    Would love to pop Great White in this tape deck, roll the windows down, and drive around small towns blasting Once Bitten Twice Shy... :headbang:

    This is ultimately going to be merged into my Toyota truck stalking thread, but I couldn't NOT include pictures of the time machine...

    I've seen Delorean time machine replicas at cars show before, but this is probably the most accurate one I've ever seen! Don't know what Doc Brown was doing in the year 5123 though...

    One thing I could never figure out was if the stereo tape deck was somehow integral to the operation of the time machine, or if Doc wanted to jam to his favorite tunes during his time travel adventures; The location of the time travel equipment obviously made it impossible to keep the radio in the factor location, and I have no idea how a car stereo would be help a time machine function, so I'm thinking that the second theory about the tape player is more accurate...
