Same! Do yours have the red fibers around them? That's what I've got. Red fibers is probably a dumb way of saying it, but you know what I mean?

Decided to go from the 2 tone paint to solid green on the tailgate letters. Gives a nice little contrast to the black.

Yep, red in color. I upgraded to the tundra brakes and the Wheelers kit comes with the correct banjo bolts so they were a double win for me. The much larger calibers require more fluid flow.

Oh yeah, baby. Did you use OEM parts? I've thought about doing the TBU in the past, but I just never felt like spending the funds for it. If I were to do it, I'd likely do it one of two ways:
    1. Pull used, OEM parts from a junkyard, like the calipers but that's it
    2. Get NAPA or some other well adored brand calipers i.e., Brembo or something, then do Brembo rotors and Hawk pads

I currently have a set of stock replacement Brembo rotors and Hawk pads awaiting installation. I need to get them done before August, which is going to be our summer vacation to the OBX.

I used the stock lines on my 4runner when i did the tundra BBK and its always been 100% fine. Major upgrade. It was well worth it. Somebody had just done the soft lines not long before i bought it so i was not about to replace them. I did redo the short hard-lines with the slightly bigger and better ones though.

Well damn. Sounds like I'm the only one to have not joined the club... lol. If I have my 4Runner long enough to do brakes again after my pending brake job, I'll consider it then. I've been rocking my current brakes since about June or July of 2017, and they have about 50K miles on the pads and rotors themselves. But it's time. Plus I reeeeally need a good brake bleed. I think that will help out tremendously with overall braking performance.

When you’re ready, message me and i’ll get you all the part numbers.

i went with napa black enamel coated calipers for a 2006 tundra, centric coated rotors and ceramic pads. The swap was dumb easy. I wish i had done the stainless braided brake lines, but I couldnt justify it at the time. They do get a little mushy when heated up but thats just the soft lines. The brakes I put on are phenomenal and i cannot recommend it more. Napa even took the smaller calipers back as core no problem AND the new ones have a lifetime warranty.

I just did this about a month ago on my 3rd gen T4R. Since I had one frozen caliper and scorched rotors and melted pads, I was really only spending a few bucks more for a 2nd caliper since the cost of rotors and pads were very similar to the stock parts. I went with the Napper re-manned calipers, they look like a decent quality part. I used the stock steel short lines since I had replaced the flex hoses last year when I did the brakes... I also used the Napper premium rotors and Akebono pads. The cost of the rotors was almost as much as new OE rotors directly from Toyota, But then the Napa parts went on sale so I went that route. No complaints so far but I also haven't really put the brakes to any "tests" yet.

Interestingly enough, the rotors are the same diameter as the stock 3rd gen parts (12.6") and 2nd and 3rd gen Taco but they are WAY thicker. The Calipers are the 13WL, ( '05 V8 Tundra) but since the 2nd and 3rd gen Tacos use the 13WG calipers, a guy might find some good low mileage used parts. The port where the hard line screws into is in a slightly different location on the WG caliper compared to the WL, but if you get the stock hard line with the WG caliper it wouldn't matter. When I was making a comparative list of all of the parts, it was interesting that the 5th gen T4R's actually have the ' big' brakes, they have 13.3" rotors.

Big difference in rotor diameter & thickness when I upgraded.
