Hey everyone,I have a 99' Prerunner 2.7 Im trying to decide which size tire to get. I'm getting new rims and tires with 5100 Bilsteins front and back and an AAL in the back. The specs on the 33s are 32.5" and the 265s are 31.7". Does it make that big of a difference. Which is a better choice? Also if I were to get the 265s with a 16x10 rim with 4" backspacing would that work? Thanks

To answer the rim width question, go on goodyear's website and look up the tires specs for the size you're considering. It'll tell you whether the rim width is too wide or not.

16x10 with a 4" backspacing is a big negative offset. That'll create more clearance issues.

You said 33x12.5x15 vs 265/75R16 Is that a typo? It's weird to me that you're considering a 15" wheel. I'm not a first gen guy, but I don't think a 15" rim will even fit your truck will it?

The bigger the tire, the more rubbing and trimming.

Also, there's a size in between the two you mention: 285/75R16. That's a pretty common size to run, at least on 2nd gens. Not so sure about first gens.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

265's are not going to fit a 16x10" rim if you want a 10" wide rim you need at least 12.5's i have 33x12.5x15's on 15x10" rims and my tires are wide on that rim as you can see in my Sig

33x12.5R15 is a lotta rubba. What pressure do you carry on the street JLee? What do you air down to on the trail?

32psi on the street in the front and 30psi in the back. I air down to 15 to 18psi most of the time but Ive went down to 5 on sand with no issues.

Sorry that was so confusing. I was trying to decide whether to go with 15s or 16s and mine came with 15x7s. I'm gonna go with 33x12.5r15s on 15x10 with 3.75 bs procomps. I'm probablly gonna have to do some trimming won't I?
