That's what's great about the industry standard: SAE. It takes temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure into the formula to provide the results.

Sounds like he's hoping OTT will give him money and a tune. Lol

Its me jokingly asking an OTT tuner to give me the OTT tune. Think of ATT phone company buying a Verizon customer out of their Verizon contract; same idea, except its a completely made up thing that doesn't exist, nor should it exist. Only a joke, and a useless post that subs me to the thread.

For relevance, given all the reviews and data currently out there, I want to go the OTT route over KD tunes. I keep refusing to upgrade though, because a new version gets released every other day it seems, and it seems dumb to keep paying to upgrade to the newest revision each time.

When OTT releases "new" versions, we don't charge customers... now that's a concept. No cash grabs here. Where are you located or who tuned you with the other tune.

He'd presumably still need to pay to get tuned by OTT in the first place. His post indicates he is not an OTT customer currently.

I'm on an extremely early verison of a KD tune, I think Kruiser 4.0 or something close to that? Some rando dude did it for me, and it was before whatever current process is in place now, so my VIN isn't "registered" or whatever the process is. So essentially I'd pay to tune again. Rightfully so if I were to be a 1st time OTT customer - I have no problem with that. I'm not actually looking for a freebie, I was only making a joke.
Exactly. And maybe I'm wrong, but my experience so far is KD/OV/VFT/whatever the heck these tunes fall under, the customer ends up paying every time they change their processes. If OTT doesn't charge for each update, thats a huge selling point, and gives me more confidence that OTT is the way I'd like to eventually go.

YotaWerx Tuning and Nexus provide their updates to customers for free as well, have always done so, but yes, you'd need to buy the tunes initially.

That meaning that the tuners offer doing those updates for free each time, or the customer pays a tuning fee?

Well you'd think so, but I've observed some folks who fell prey to that sales pitch (for other products). IE: Paying for tune files, and then paying a 3rd party tuner are separate transactions to some people.

(Edit for clarification, I mean paying for new tunes, and then paying a tuner IN that tunes network)

You are correct... I was merely hinting that OTT doesn't do what KDMax does with their new versions.

You should use that $1000 + $ from your totaled 2020 to get a 2021 3.5L. I kid I kid... but FR you should have :)
