First of all my 1st gen has been wonderfull....340k miles it still runs great.

    Got my 99 taco 4wd 2.7 5 speed I drive it 90 miles a day.

Well 97 stepside chevy my grandad left me is coming out of the shop this week fixing the missfire on cyl 2.

I'm really debating about going down to only the chevy...it's gonna be lowered on 2/4 15" wheels . its only a 2wd 5.0.

I figure the gas mileage is gonna be about the same driving the taco on the highway is only gett 18mpg...chevy should be close to the same.

Just don't wanna have two insurances...two tags...too gas bilsl

Your insurance may actually be cheaper with 2 vehicles, it puts you in a multi vehicle policy. Check with your agent about it.

Only you know what is best for you though. Good luck with whatever you decide

Never sell a 1st gen Taco unless you are getting another. Best truck ever made except for rust issues. Sell the Chevy. I have regretted selling my Prerunner for 12 years now.

Gas shouldn't up unless you are driving both at the same time

but yeah, having two inspections, two registrations a year could be a hassle. My insurance went up a little bit, but have multiple cars and home insurance does give me discounts.

    Like, so many.
I kept a truck my grandad gave me and just kept the minimal insurance on it. Drove it once a week to keep it running.

Keep both trucks. You'll regret selling either. Plus with 23 and 25 year old trucks there is a very good chance both will see down time for normal parts replacement at this point. Having one to drive while the other is in the shop is going to be worth the small additional costs.

Yep , you will miss either one you sell. And it won’t be long till regret sets in.

Well the chevy is fixed...miss is gone. Still would cost too much to daily it plus no air.

I love the toyota...just wish I could make it more friendly for the highway. has 30x9.5r15 e rated tires on 15x8 aftermarket -18 offset wheels.

Though about putting some p rated tires on factory wheels but not sure how much mpg that would make difference wise and if it would help with power on the interstate.

Maybe sell it to someone who can give you the chance for a buy back in the near future.
