Do you already have the parts? Jeff may have some of the RTMR kits still, then all you really need is the circuit breaker & mounting tray. BAMF has various configurations of pelfrey trays for cheap too

I came close to giving up on mine too, I had to use both legs and both arms like a deadlift on 2 prybars to get mine to let loose. Those things seat hard!

 

I finished up my big 3 upgrade yesterday, got most of my accessories ran to the new fuse panel (just need to run the headlight and horn power) as well as getting power ran the my rear fuse panel/power strip in the bed.

 

Installed some Marlin LCA Gussets last night. Made some modifications to them to work with the taco tabs.





I also succeeded in convincing someone else at work to go with a Tacoma. It’s not a second gen but I guess it will have to do.

 

Where did you get the metal adapter? I need to fill the hole the pop out on mine is gone.

The top nut on your front shock assembly isn't tight?

 

Nope. I haven't even started. Basically all of my accessories are wired already. Rewiring things is a pain, but I want to organize my bay a bit

 

Looking to make it waterproof? Don't forget to plug the drain holes.

Big weekend. Finally finished up my rear seat delete and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.


Finally got around to putting my rear passenger window vent back on. Didn't take a pic. Then I went to replace my front bump stops and got stopped.


I have to drop my LCA to get a extractor in there but I couldn't find my 24mm. Of course I tried to get one more thing done before a 4 day camping trip this weekend and I had to snap the bitch off in there!

 

Same thing happened to my front bump. I just drilled another hole about 1/4 inch behind the original. Works fine, hits the same spot as the other bump too

 

Not a bad idea at all.

 

I was hesitant about it, but taking off the lca just to drill out a broken bolt didn't seem worth it to me

 

More like "water resistant" because I found that even using large-gap weather striping, the seal between the metal frame and door is still kind of loose. If nothing else, it should help minimize rattling.

 

I followed the process in this YT video, but used a different brand weather striping that was available on Amazon. It's in addition to (not replacing) the stock weather striping.

They are the Hooke Offroad ones. I installed their center console lockbox a few months ago, and good or bad, all 3 lockboxes use the same key... It's convenient having only 1 key on the keychain, but a little unsettling that all their products use the exact same lock/key combo. A lock just keeps honest people honest any way.

 

true, but it’s also a deterrent from thefts of opportunity. That makes up the majority of petty crime here… mainly just people grabbing stuff and going.
