It took many years, many hours & cost many thousands to settle my Mother's estate.

All because of a paperwork problem, nothing more. :frusty:

When my dad died in 2018, we basically went into the house and pulled out everything that had sentimental value and left everything to go to the state or the bank. The house was still under a mortgage and the car was in both my mom and dad's name, which in and of itself was a pain for her to get resolved. I didn't care because she divorced him 7 months before and left him in poor health and holding the bag. He had no education in how to do bills or save money as she did it all for the 22 years they were married. I'm still kinda bitter about that.

Essentially, I was able to keep his life insurance and 401k both out of the mess, but everything else required a death certificate to deal with. In the end, it was kind of easier to just walk away from it all.

My wife and I just had our will done a few months ago. Hired a local law office and they handled everything, and asked a lot of questions that I would have never thought of. Like how our estate would be dispersed if we both died before the kiddo was 18, lump sum or a little at a time, who would be god-parents, etc. I think it was like $1000 to have it done, but well worth the money to know everything is taken care of.

You can do it yourself then have it notarized making it a legal document.

Just remember to legally change things if things change.

    I have seem forms online.

My will is written just need Names inserted here seems to be the problem in my case.

I hate the idea of the Commonwealth getting everything.

I gotta wonder if they did not compress the caliper?

If they were the correct pads for the application .

Odd; my wife just mentioned a will yesterday. We have nothing. A former coworker ask me to get one done occasionally but hasn't for awhile. He kind of bug me about it after his parents passed. I'm guessing they didn't have anything in place either.

Progress report; this side should go much easier, as young jedi knows the tricks yes he does

At the very least, you could fill out the attached template (which is quite thorough for how concise it is.) and get it notarized until you can find/sit down with a lawyer you feel you can trust to do it right.

At least you get the luxury of filling it out a table and not hastily scribbled in pen, written on the back of a bus seat.
