Well, damn. Just when I think my wish list is finally getting smaller lol.

Thanks for the feedback! Might have to go for a set once I get the front suspension upgrade paid off.

Ya. The one quote I got for the hangers was $1250 plus tax and shipping, that’s not including installation, which I would do myself anyways. I’m hoping I can find a better deal somewhere, otherwise they are on the back burner for awhile while I save up.

I don’t quite understand the markup as they are $500 on Archives site, which is $630 Canadian. I wish they would ship directly to Canada but last time I talked to them it wasn’t an option.

Try overland outfitters in Vancouver. They are $805.99 + tax and shipping. I just ordered a set.

2.5" Fox relocation * Hammer hanger * Archive MD springs
There's the base hanger kit which is $500 USD shipped in the states. Optional 3.6" shackles (top quality construction and bushings, fully assembled) are $270 option. Optional Hi clearance Cross tube is $250 USD option
    https://archivegarage.com/explore-archive/ols/products/tacoma-hammer-hangers

That double bounce is exactly what Hammer hangers nearly eliminate. What is happening is the stock shackle hanger is so flimsy and flexible, it is essentially like a spring itself, and that makes the frame and bed twitch and bounce which inhibits the leaf from doing it's job, and it ruins ride quality and confidence in the vehicle, and it gets worse the harder you push it.

The stock springs are fabulous for ride quality with Hh installed.

If you like a “plush ride” I assume you ditched your swaybars? It’s amazing!

Appreciate the response! Sounds like these are going to have to be next on my list then. Right after I pay off the front Elka setup I just bought lol.

Oh of course. Pretty much immediately. My sway bar probably has about 500km on it lol.

The HH are worth the price. Bit of a pain in the a$$ to install but well worth it. Improves ride quality significantly. I bought mine from overland outfitters but that’s only because the boarder was closed. Archive is in New York State and had the border been open I would have drove down to get them. I have my HH paired with All Pro leafs. Did the install all at once but it’s a huge improvement over the stock setup.

Quick update: driver side shock was topped up with nitrogen after it was discovered as low. Just got back from 3 days of wheeling and not a single clunk sound.

How did you check if it was low?

Ah ok. I have a random clunk noise that I've noticed ever since I threw Elka's on the rear. Hard to track it down though. Was going to get Krave to re-valve the shocks anyway so might be able to kill 2 birds there.

FYI these silver/chrome ones are the other misalignment spacers for the coilover top and rear shock bottom.20220720_141130.jpg 20220720_141454.jpg

Got my custom 2.5 DSC's with 600lb coils installed. Took about 12 weeks to get in, purchased through Krave. I've been running them for about 2 weeks now and have been very happy with the ride. However I was not the most impressed with how they fit. I had to loosen off and rotate the hose fitting coming out of the shock body so that the UCA's don't hit the hose during travel. But the hose is still touching the shock mount on the frame. There's already a fair amount of force on the hose which is preventing the resi from sitting higher in it's mount, so I didn't want to try to adjust that fitting yet. I made a little stainless steel collar to protect the hoses but still not a fan of them touching. Anyone else have this issue?

Take the resi out of the mount and rotate it 360 degrees to get the hose to twist outwards. The hose shouldn’t be that close to the frame

I'll give it a try... I don't recall that being possible though. There isn't much flexibility in the hose.

I take it back. I’ve got the same pop/clunk noise again (or perhaps it never went away). I’ve had another shop look over the truck and nothing is out of order. Back to krave to check the Elka shock.

SPC. The ball joints were just replaced with <10,000kms. Not pleased about that. All hardware is torqued to spec on the uppers.

    Yep, SPC here as well.
I replaced my ball joints at ~10k miles (lasted a little longer than yours, but not by much).

After some reading and some YouTube videos, it's my belief that the xAxis bushings are failing and that's the cause of the knocking.

I re-torqued most everything. The knocking went away, but was back a few days later.

I'm going to install some different uca's.

    Cheers
