hilariously, I literally just had a conversation with a neighbor a few houses down. He has a '92 pickup with a 22re and said that the chain rubbed through the valve cover. He got a 2nd gen Taco about 1-2 months ago, and he doesn't want to mess with what's wrong with the '92, and he's looking to get rid of it.

I used to have a '92... I would love another one.

 

If it doesn’t run then it would probably be me or Dave coming to Memphis to get it with a truck and trailer.

I guess use it as a commuter around town

 

Motor needs a lot of work, timing cover wore through into the water jacket and dumped about a gallon of coolant into the crank case. Probably not an engine donor truck.
I'm going to go through the motor, and use it as a cheap beater. It has the body options I was looking for in a beater truck (bench seat, extra cab, AC) and was dirt cheap

 

@Robertocritser or @allmotorrex or anyone else running dedicated or rigs any of you used milestars? Currently talking to a guy that is selling a new set of 40’s because he doesn’t want to deal with all the steering upgrades he didn’t research before buying them.

 

Those tires look like they would be a steaming pile of poo in any condition but on the street, especially in mud.

 

They’re terrible anywhere not the SW desert. Multiple friends have had them and ditched them quickly.

 

Yeah I'd agree with them. Running them on completely dry rock seems to be where they work (Moab kinda stuff). The tread pattern looks terrible for SE terrain.

 

Any interest in an ARE MX camper cap for a second gen? Was going to post for 900 but will give a deal to TW folks. Has some pinstripes, missing the top fake windshield glass, and dome light.
