Turn Off Nanny Features - 2020 OR

Do you have lane keep assistant/lane departure warning?

 

No warnings on the dash at all, and I have lane departure/assist turned-off.

 

I was wondering if it was part of this feature. Is it just a voice or is there a dash warning too?

 

Just a voice/audio message. No messages or warnings anywhere. I tried searching the website, and it does not look like anyone else has had this come up.

 

I know there's a way to turn off the voice on the 2017 models. I don't think I get any sort of warning to begin with, but I hate the voice during navigation so I turned it off. It is under "voice" but I'm not sure if that's the same for the 2020 models.

 

Call corporate and ask. Tell them service dept doesn’t know anything. You need some real answers and not from advisors sleeping cause something told them too.

 

I'm wondering the same thing. My 2022 automatically tells me when I have crossed state lines. No bluetooth or Navigation hooked up. It's a little annoying because I live close to 2 other states. A female voice comes over and says "Welcome to .........". Prefer to not be told EVERYTIME I cross over.

 

That's coming from carplay. Are you sure your phone isn't plugged in?

 

Your manual will tell you everything you need to know. I read it in there once I just don't remember where in the 4332 pages of that thing.

 

Toyota's built-in nav system does this. Even when you're not actively using it for navigation. Mine does this too.

 

i've never heard any voices in my truck but i'm pretty sure i turned all that stuff off when i first got it

 

Drove 9 hours home from central Baja on Saturday. Never got the message. Ever.

 

I hear voices all the time just never in my truck.
