So nice driving home with functioning AC for the first time. It's been a struggle figuring this out but it's done now.

ECGS is doing the gear setup on my diffs. I bought a front clamshell and an entire 8.2" rear from a GX460 with 9600mi on them, a while back.

I have the Rigd version in my garage but use the rear door constantly for the dog and really don’t want the swing out to so before the door but I don’t see many better options. Sucks.

@jlemmond that's awesome! I'm ok with this. I'm just over trying to "push it and find the limits" (James May voice).

yeah it is a bummer. there are the carriers that attached straight to your rear hatch (JW offroad and a couple others) - but I do wheel this thing and i dont know that i trust it wont eventually wear out the hinges, rust where i drilled through the sheet metal, etc. This will have to do for now.

Yeah that's fine. We use 80-90 here at work just because that's what we have. But 75-90 will be fine. Also works for your front and rear diffs.

I've already got Amsoil 75-90 in the diffs. But I thought I had read some time ago that the transfer case called for the $80 a quart Toyota fluid. So I wasn't sure.

I just asked our tech that also has a GX470. He uses the 80-90 in his transfer case and I'm sure put it in mine when he serviced it. The repair manual calls for 75-90 so you're good.
