No no. I mean the light stalk on your truck. Are your low beams on? Parking lights? Etc. What position is it in?

    Oh…lol. I had tried all of them…

but figured it out once I got home, I had the high and low leads swapped…
While hooking them up I had zip tied them while disconnected and didn’t notice while hooking them back up…

So they’ve been on since I put them in… almost 2 weeks ago.

I remember having this issue when I first installed and it had to do with having something mixed up and plugged in incorrectly near the vleds box mounted near the drivers kick panel. Rough on the details. I recall it being an easy fix though.

Thats exactly what I did. I had them plugged in right for testing, the unhooked to mount. I didn’t pay attention while reconnecting when the wires were zip tied in place.

Anyone else's harness have bad pin fitment in the T harness@ the A pillar? I have a bad pin / loose connection that's effecting my rearview mirror and therefore my dash cam. Frustrating.

If a pin was bent during install it can pop itself loose from the connector and cause some intermittent issues. Take a look at the connector and make sure everything is seated. If you think something isn’t pinned correctly then you’re free to file a warranty claim with the vendor you purchased it from. However, I haven’t found a single harness that’s been filed under warranty to be pinned wrong — the issues have been from damage to the harness (most likely from install).

I haven't had any intermittent issues yet but when I added my splitter and Meso puddle pods, the VLEDS footwells stopped working on the dim mode. Haven't had a chance to dig in yet though to see what's wrong. No intermittent issues or any interference with anything else though, the lights simply just don't work on low mode.

That doesn’t make any sense if you have it hooked up correctly. Can you draw me a diagram? If you’re using the splitter the footwell lights should be receiving input from the a pillar harness upstream of the switch harness.

No pins were bent. Just seemingly loose. Every once in a while a bump will re establish the connection. I pushed all the pins in to the connector as best as I could but it didn't seem to change anything.

I'm drawing up a diagram for Kyle currently but yes, I thought that's how it had to be....The VLEDS pillar harness ends with a 5 pin JST connector right? then the VLEDS splitter for the meso pods plugs into that, providing you a 5 pin for the footwells and a 4 pin for the Meso pods. the Meso splitter plugs into the 4 pin leg of the VLEDS splitter so it can take that power and split it into two paths, one for each puddle light. On the footwell side the jumper harness goes from the 5 pin hookup on the VLEDS splitter and from there to the PWM control box.

Did I get that right? That is the best I can remember as it's been a few weeks and I plugged it up seemingly the only way it could go...

Here is how I installed it to the best of my memory. I am using the 5 to 4&5 splitter from VLEDS which breaks the a-pillar connection out into two connections, one for footwell and one for Meso. Meso sends you a 4 to 4&4 splitter to give you two connections for the puddle pods.

I don't see how I could have connected them wrong because the Meso harness being all 4 pin would not have worked on the VLEDS a pillar harness. I can't eliminate either of the two splitters because then there are not enough connections for everything to hook up. What am I missing here??

I am suspecting that the VLEDS 5 to 4&5 splitter has the parking lamp power on the wrong pin? I really don't know though. It is a 5 pin connector with one empty slot, so maybe they put it in the wrong one by accident?

I do not have the Meso switch, this is all automatic operation. Everything works so far except once the puddles were installed the parking lamp mode of the footwells stopped. the only thing I did for that install was disconnect the footwells from the a-pillar, insert the VLEDS splitter for puddle pods, hook the footwells up to the 5 pin side and the meso splitter up to the 4 pin side. Then the 2 Meso 4 pin harnesses (one per light) to each side of the meso splitter. the fact that these kits are using different pin counts makes it pretty much idiot proof....so I'm just not sure what else it could be unless a wire is pinned wrong or the parking lamp wire pulled out of a connector.

Okay let me take a look at this when I get home tonight — if you could shoot me a PM with a picture of your splitter that would be helpful as well. We’ll see what’s going on.

They look a lot better and I like the placement. I still need a darker filament due to light bleed. I also need to edit for a wire guide and a bigger awning because I can still see it from the drivers seat. I forgot I was mounting on a pitched surface.

I had a similar issue but mine problem was with the dome lights. What I found was the wires going in to the bottom connector had to be straight. I had originally removed the factory connector from its mount and installed the new connector in the mount. This pushed the lower connector down causing the factory wires to be bent going into the connector. After I put the factor connector back in the mount I haven’t had any more issues.

You're talking about that zip tie mount that attaches it to the A pillar? Mine is connected just like stock would be.

I figured it out. Nothing wrong with the splitters at all. Somehow when I did the Meso install my parking lamp WP got disconnected. I looked for that originally but the disconnect happened in a place where I couldn’t see it initially. I just pushed some other wiring out of the way and found the culprit. All working again and zip tied back snug. Shouldn’t be a problem again since I don’t intend on messing with any of those two mods again.
