Im getting a 2013 tacoma from a dealership.
Ive had the car for a day and have to go back to the dealer to sign the title and get an inspection sticker.
i showed it to my works fleet mechanic and he said it looks good. but has a broken drivers leaf spring. a drivrrs side bad front strut and the steering shaft might be bad because steering seems hard.
Is this something the dealer will take care of when they put the sticker on?

Since you gave us barely any info....

It depends on your state laws and purchasing used vehicles. If you already signed the paperwork they may not have to do anything. A broken rear leaf is a safety concern and should have been fixed before selling it.
You should always inspect the vehicle before buying it. Esp something ten years old.

Personally I would have the whole truck checked out by a mechanic. Either the dealer is shady or they have morons working there.

Personally I would back out of the deal if you still can.

    I live in mass.
I have a week to back out of the deal. We have a lemon law here. i traded in an 03 tacona with 231k miles on it. needs transmission. drivetrain. muffler. AC compressor.a bunch of work.
other than tbose issues i mentioned on the 2013 taco i bought my mechanic said it was a great truck. 61k mikes on it.
i go back to dealership tomorrow to sign title and get a sticker. I am going to tell them about the issues.

I'm in CT. Lemon law doesn't apply to used vehicles but its required the truck have any safety related issues fixed before the sale

With only 61k the truck should have ZERO issues. Something is off here. Does the truck have a clean carfax? How rusty is it? Do you have a link to the add for the truck?

I can't imagine how the dealership would sell a truck with a broken leaf spring. That's an accident one block from the lot.

i cant find add on dealership because i bought truck.
carfax is clean. one minor damage to front. no air bsgs deoyed.
no rust. bumper my have a tad rust near plate lights.
my main issue was if dealer would fix these issues.
i got nervous and just got off the phone with them.
wheni get inspection sticker from them and sign title they are going to fix all these issues i mentioned.

Well considering the rear leaf spring is broken that’s a safety issue and they would have to fix that and if there’s something broken and this suspension on the front same side which makes me wonder why it’s only that one side lol…….. they would have to fix all of that, it’s a safety issue because you would not pass state inspection so I wouldn’t worry to watch about them fixing stuff but I would make sure

    Masshole here
