The sign guy is probably a product of public education and didn’t have his ever faithful spell check.

In the 80s I had a jeep cj5 rag top and it didnt have any locks on the doors, it had an 8 track player in it because nobody would steal those, lol. I think I have that album still. I saw them in concert Here in Detroit.

Geez, late to the party; I just noticed this thread for the first time. Yikes, 1962 pages, kind of a coincidence given those born in that year now qualify for this thread. :p

Anyway, while I have long since hit the threshold necessary to post here, I have a long way to go before I can relax out on the porch swing or while away the hours tinkering on a project out in the hayloft. :)

Glad you got that all figured out. I have never owned a pool but when we visited my MIL in Palm Dessert the filter was alway getting clogged with sand. Call the pool guy was our mantra there it seems. Pools are a must some places.

That is one of those Albums I’ve had in every media, 8 track, cassette, vinyl, CD, iPod and now Spotify I never get tired of that guitar!

The porch is getting crowded. We may have to overflow onto the lawn. Maybe get another cooler?

Figured out - yes. Cured - almost! But, at the second day of 102* and more coming, cleaning up my mistake IN the water isn't such a bad deal!

I had a GENUINE Corsair mechanic that worked with me for years on the mining machines in Wyoming. He learned the trade in a Marine air wing in Korea. Said the engine torque was so extreme the plane could turn some unbelievable tight corkscrew turns (in one direction) - and their best pilots used the tendency to knock off some unsuspecting Migs that jumped them, flew by - then broke the wrong direction.

I went to look to see if Budd Davison had a PIREP on the Corsair, alas not listed. "Mr. Airbum" was a blast to spend time with, he was one of the people involved in the Bearhawk Airplane that I built. To me it was the Tacoma of the sky, take it to haul goods (four people and gear), remote locations, week-long camping (hint, get the forecast when camping at 9000 ft), but also just good for errands like getting a hamburger. Dreams, lots of dreams.

Fun stories for memory lane, from when he was flying surplus P51s in 1971.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Looks like another day of chasing Zeolite out of the pool, bit by bit. So, might as well fire up the smoker and do a flat while I'm out there!

Ya think! :) If I had a good pic. of my grandmothers old Victorian mansion that I spent the first 9 yrs. of my life in, I could show a wrap around (3 sides) porch that would easily hold everyone on here as of now, that place was built in 1888 and was huge.
The good news is that it looks like a bunch of us old timers are still around and wise enough to be buying Tacomas!

Just saw this, maybe there is an engineer out there who can work on this and make it feasible!
Just read where one of the refiners is supposed to shut down a refinery originally built in 1918, talk about adding insult to injury!

WOW, just saw this and I can relate to it. :(
A guy at a foundry tripped and somehow slipped into a crucible with 2,600 deg. molten metal in it, the article said that 1/2 his body was burned off and the other half fell onto the floor, just HORRIBLE and glad I never witnessed anything like that. A lot of people have no clue as to how dangerous some industrial jobs are and that something bad can happen in the blink of an eye.
